Shortage of fuel:
Minister Ghajar reached an agreement with Iraq to purchase one million tons of oil. He added:
We will announce a tender to replace the Iraqi (crude) oil that Lebanon will not use in exchange of fuel suitable for the power plants. It will allow 4 months of electricity.
(Note) By that, he means the usual 8-20 hour supply, depending on the area of Lebanon where there is no equal distribution of power.

Yediot Aharonot newspaper:
- Along the border with Lebanon, only a few areas are protected by a long wall, and this poses a threat when facing Hezbollah, the most powerful army in the Middle East after the Israeli army, as described by an official in the Northern Command.
- Hezbollah is no longer the same organization that everyone knew in the past. It is an all-out army. It is a learning organization, drawing conclusions, with capabilities that would embarrass a regular Western army.
- Hezbollah continues to wage a nerve-wracking war with IDF forces and has been moving along the border for the past decade including Hezbollah's elite unit recently.

Maariv: Alon Ben David:
"After 13 years of almost complete silence, Hezbollah decided to turn the entire northern border, from Rosh Hanikra to Har Dov, into an active line of confrontation."
"A thin, low fence is all that divides today between the northern settlements and the commotion that is taking place across the border in Lebanon. Not only can Hezbullah easily cross this fence, Sudanese dishwashers also skip it."
"There is also almost no protection in the north. About 3,100 (Israeli) families live in 21 localities up to a kilometer from the border without any home protection or shelter."
"The Northern Command this month completed the most comprehensive test conducted in the army for years. The entire regular maneuvering force of the IDF, about 40 battalions, completed the test planned by the command. Several battalions failed."
"The summary of the test, written by Maj. Gen. Amir Baram and researcher Gal Pearl Finkel, reveals several weaknesses that characterize all land battalions. And the difficulty of commanders in mastering the complex IT systems."

Illegal outpost on Mount Sabih:
Funeral of 17-year-old Mohammed Al-Tamimi, who was shot dead yesterday by the occupation forces in the village of Nabi Saleh (north of Ramallah). He was not killed in the clashes nearby in Beita but simultaneously. A soldier shot him at close range from a jeep, and soldiers behind the vehicle shot more bullets while he was trying to flee and collapsed, – for no reason.
The Red Crescent said 320 Palestinians have been injured in the clashes against the illegal outpost on Mount Sabih, including 21 by live fire and 68 by rubber-tipped bullets.
