Microsoft Team app update fixed emergency calling 911 issue on Android phone
Mishaal Rahman | Medium | Previous post

Earlier a Pixel 3 user posted on Reddit that he wasn't able to dial emergency number 911, and later Google responded that it a bug caused by Microsoft Team app for users who didn't sign in. An update for the app has been distributed to fix the issue.

The app version 1416/1.0.0.2021194504 of Microsoft Teams app should fix the issue, and it's rolling out to the Play Store. Meanwhile Mishaal Rahman also has released a post on Medium (link above), explaining how the issue is happening in details.

Here's a preview of what's happening. Microsoft Teams is used as a phone application to register an account (PhoneAccount) with the system. If you are not signed in, it will re-register a new PhoneAccount with every cold launch.

Once the number of PhoneAccounts generated reaches a certain amount, the system might mistakenly hand over the process to Teams. Since Teams itself cannot handle it, so users can't make emergency calls. When you are signed in, it won't register redundant PhoneAccount repeatedly, hence the bug won't occur.

Either way, the issue is solved with app update, it is available to download from Play Store or APKMirror.

Earlier YouTube rolled out engagement graph feature only to a very few users, and now the feature is available for testing with a YouTube Premium subnoscription.

Engagement graph in YouTube is a graph which show how other users view the video. The higher the graph means more people have viewed it, while lower means less people have viewed it. YouTube will highlight "Most Viewed" when you scrub through the highest graph so you can just check out the part which most users have watched.

It's now available for all Premium members to try out till January 7, 2022.

YouTube soon will gain Collections feature in Subnoscriptions
Creator Insiders (YouTube)

To better organise your subnoscription feed, YouTube might roll out a nifty feature for your subnoscription page soon.

For now, YouTube only show all your subnoscriptions in one page, which you might feel there are too annoying if you have subscribed to a lot of channels. YouTube is solving this issue by introducing Collections.

Collections will be similar to folder, which can let you select several channels and gather them into one group, and entering the specific collection will only show up the creators' videos that you have selected for that collection.

It's unclear whether the feature will be available in every platform like TV when it is make available. Anyway your subnoscriptions feed can now be much more organised soon.
