Android 13 introduced easier and simple way to scan QR codes
Android Police
QR codes are now part of our daily live, this is especially true with the pandemic ongoing. Anyway, soon you can easily scan it without the help of Google services on Android 13.
Soon you will be able use QR scanner from the lock screen. It could probably show a shortcut to the scanner somewhere on the lock screen, but no one is sure for now.
Also in the QS panel, Google has also added a tile dedicated for scanning QR code, which then the system will open a separate view/mode for the action after tapping on it.

Android 13 could bring in redesign audio output picker
Android Police
Nothing too fancy here, but Google is working on a redesigned audio outlet picker for Android 13.
As you can see from the image, the old volume sliders are no longer there and have been replaced by new rounded, fatter ones. The connected audio output device will have a checkmark on the right side, while disconnected device will be grayed out, now it much easier to differentiate.
The design of the audio output picker isn't really polish yet as Android 13 is still in early development, and it might subject to change.

You can probably transfer media to nearby devices with a 'tap' on Android 13
Android Police
You can soon transfer and play media with nearby devices wirelessly, with just a single "tap." For now, Android Police said they can only show mockup of how the new feature works, the feature is labeled as "Media TTT" workflow, while “TTT” means “tap to transfer.”
Here's an example of how it works. A user is playing media on the phone, and then another user with another phone get close enough to the other user's device, then there will be a notification chip showing on top. Depend on how far away those two devices are, it will either show you tips that tell you to move closer or show you it is already playing on the other devices.
The feature is currently under development and Google still probably haven't figured out the way to make it work, so it could make it way to the stable release or probably not.

Android 13 might give access switching user profiles from keyguard and disable activating Assistant with home button
Android Police
Android 13 is already leaked out and we know that it will be gaining a quicker way to scan QR code, redesign audio picker, and tap-to-transfer media feature. Besides that, soon you might be able to switch user profiles from the keyguard and also disable triggering Assistant while long-pressing home button.
It's nice to see that you can switch between user profiles from the keyguard, which is something similar to what desktop offer for awhile. For now, no one is sure whether it is arriving for both phones and tablets as the user switching tool vary between both platforms.
Meanwhile, Google has also added option to let users disable long-press home button gestures that activate the Assistant. It's just a very simple toggle that can be found under system navigation settings.

"We have discovered that users on Android 12 devices sometimes don’t hear audio when answering a Duo call from an incoming call notification. We are working on a fix, but in the meantime, a workaround is to try the call once more but have your Duo app open so you can answer the call from within the app instead of via the notification alert. Thank you for providing feedback and we’ll keep you posted!"The issue isn't really realised by a lot of users, it probably because there's not a lot of users on Android 12 and some people who use Android 12 aren't even using the service at all. Anyway, bug fixes will be provided soon.

Google Pixel Fold design leaked, could have similar design to Oppo Find N
9To5Google
Several smartphone companies have already released their first foldable devices, and Google seems to be working on it too. We only roughly know its camera setup and some specs details, and that's pretty much it. Yesterday, Google has released Android 12L Beta 2 and they have included new animations which seems to be a Pixel foldable.
There is new animations which shows how to insert a SIM card into a foldable phone. 9To5Google also said that the animation reference to the Pixel Fold’s “Pipit” codename too.
The animation shows that it will have its volume button placed on the right, while the SIM card tray is located at the bottom of the external display. The device is measured to have a 7:8 ratio for its inner display, comparing to Oppo Find N, it has a 8.4:9 squarish aspect ratio.
Android 12L is currently still in beta stage, things can be subject to change, so take this info as a grain of salt.
