بچه‌ها من سریال "جواهری در قصر" یا همون "یانگوم" را بسیار دوست دارم به‌علت اینکه برای تلاش کردن و تسلیم نشدن دربرابر مشکلات و پایبند ماندن به اصول اخلاقی، الهام‌بخش هست.
دیشب به ذهنم رسید بعد ده‌ها سال برم و سریال را با زیرنویس انگلیسی ببینم و ناگهان از قسمت 41 شروع کردم. در دقایق اول بسیار وحشت‌زده شدم و با خودم گفتم چطور بعد از این همه سال هنوز زیرنویس یک سریال معمولی را نمی‌فهمی؟!
اصطلاحی مرتب تکرار میشد به نام "internal affair" و من تصور می‌کردم affair در اینجا به معنای "رابطه عاشقانه" است و برای همین حسابی گیج شده بودم درباره چه رابطه‌ عاشقانه‌ای در قصر صحبت می‌کنند؟! همچنین مرتب کلمه "court" به‌معنای "دادگاه" تکرار میشد و گیج شده بود که اصلا دادگاهی در فیلم نمی‌بینم.
ولی... فیلم را ادامه دادم و بعد از نیم ساعت بالاخره با کمک دیگر جملات و تصاویر فیلم متوجه شدم که آهان affair اینجا منظورش معنای دیگر این کلمه یعنی "امور" هست و internal affair منظورشون وزارت امور داخلی هست. و منظور از court -با اینکه معنای دیگرش را نمی‌دونستم- حدس زدم احتمالا دربار و حکومت هم معنا میده.
چرا این ماجرا واستون تعریف کردم؟ متونی که در کنکور به شما میدن قسمتی جداشده از یک متن بسیار بزرگتر هست. مثلا یک قسمت از نتیجه‌گیری یک مقاله را جدا می‌کنند و به شما میدن. شما نه قبلش را خوندید و نه بعدش. حتی به شما عنوان هم در کنکور نمیدن و ناگهان پرت میشید وسط یک متن که نمی‌دونید از کجاست؟ درباره چیه؟ تم و موضوع کلی‌اش چیه؟ برای همین در چند دقیقه اول مضطرب میشید. با خودتون میگید هیچ کدام از کلمات نمی‌فهمم. نمی‌تونم جملات را درک کنم. متن بسیار سخته. ولی فقط نیاز دارید به متن زمان بدید. وقتی تِم و موضوع کلی متن را درک کنید، ناگهان درک جملات واستون ساده‌تر میشه. برای همین ممکنه بار اول که متن را می‌بینید مضطرب بشید و بگید نمی‌خوام به سوالات پاسخ بدم ولی اگر کلنجار برید حتی معنای واژگانی که نمی‌دونید را در بافت حدس خواهید زد.

نفهمیدن متن در برخورد اول کاملا بدیهی هست و کمی زمان نیازه داره تا مغز کلیت متن را تحلیل کنه و ناگهان به لحظه مکاشفه‌ی "آهااااان" می‌رسید.
