"It's very good to put pressure on the interests of the state. To defend positions. To fight for our interests. Another thing: to fight for your ego. And to try to show how cool you are. This is just idiocy. With one hand we give away our minerals, with the other - we also take away the aid that we could somehow receive," Goncharenko wrote.
He gave a “very sh*tty prognosis” for the outcome of what happened:
1. The US will completely cut off aid to Ukraine.
2. The US will stop the transfer of intelligence data on Ukraine.
3. There is a possible threat of Starlink shutdown.
"Right now, Zelensky has put millions of people at risk. And this is madness," the MP added.
"Let's think about it now: who is most happy about what happened today? I think it's Putin. Imagine, you fought for three years with Ukraine and couldn't win, because the Ukrainian people showed themselves heroically and the whole world united around us. And now Ukraine's most important ally, in fact, broke off all relations with us live on air. Who do you think will benefit from this? Ukraine? Our army? Our people? Our nation? No. And it's just the height of cynicism to sit and praise "Sanych" from warm Kyiv apartments and bars. I have no words," Goncharenko also wrote.

This was commenting on Mario Nawfal's coverage:
🚨 MARS HAD AN OCEAN? CHINESE ROVER DIGS UP NEW EVIDENCE
...China’s Zhurong rover has uncovered 10-35 meter-thick sloping deposits beneath Utopia Planitia, a vast plain in Mars’ northern lowlands, resembling coastal sediments on Earth—strong evidence that a massive ocean once covered a third of the planet.
For years, scientists debated the idea because Mars’ ancient shorelines didn’t quite add up.
Thanks to Zhurong’s subsurface radar, researchers from China and the U.S. now say the planet likely had a long-lasting ocean, not just a short-lived puddle.

Authorities Confiscated A Beloved Deer That A Woman Raised As A Pet — And Now The Animal Might Be Euthanized
The deer, named "Baby," has been raised by the woman — along with residents of Pennsylvania's Fayette County — since he was a fawn
Authorities confiscated a deer that a Pennsylvania woman had been keeping as a pet, according to the Pennsylvania Game Commission and multiple reports.
Tammy Shiery of Fayette County says that she and several members of her neighborhood have raised the 2-year-old deer — whom they named Baby — ever since they found him as a fawn, per CBS News affiliate KDKA News .
Shiery, 64, told the outlet that Baby has received all of the same vaccines that are required for deer on deer farms, and that she believed she had all of the necessary paperwork to legally keep Baby as a pet.
However, Pennsylvania law states that deer can only be kept as domestic pets if they were born in captivity — which Baby was not. Shiery attempted to intervene when state authorities showed up to take Baby away and was subsequently arrested, per KDKA.
PEOPLE reached out to the Pennsylvania State Police but did not receive an immediate response.
The Pennsylvania Game Commission confirmed it has Baby in its custody, and he has not been euthanized at this point in time, per KDKA. The game commission also told the outlet that it is currently deciding on next steps for the animal...
A Change.org petition has been created by a member of Shiery’s community in an attempt to convince authorities to release Baby back into their care.
“I, alongside many residents of Fayette County [...] have fostered a deep connection with a deer named Baby,” the petition begins. “For over two years, we have lovingly cared for Baby, providing [him] with vaccinations and treating [him] as a cherished member of our community. Yet, without reason and in a brutal display of disregard, the Pennsylvania Game Commission forcibly removed [him] from us.”
The petition goes on to compare the incident to that of the widely criticized euthanasia of Peanut the squirrel, stating “we cannot stand by and let this happen.”
“Pennsylvania is noted to have an overabundant deer population, and isolated incidents like this do not pose a significant threat to public safety or health. Thus, we believe the removal of Baby from the home where [he] was taken care of is unwarranted and harsh. In the interests of justice, compassion and community bond, we urge the Pennsylvania Game Commission to return Baby to us — [his] rightful caregivers and home,” the petition concludes.

PKK To Leave Syria On Condition Kurds ‘Maintain Leadership Role’ Ankara has recently stepped up its threats against the PKK, warning that the group will be eradicated if it does lay down its weapons An official from Turkiye’s main foe, the Kurdistan Workers…
2/23 — 'All Measures Complete' To Restart Iraqi Kurdistan Oil Exports To Turkiye
US President Donald Trump has put strong pressure on Baghdad to resume Kurdish oil exports as part of a plan to end Iranian oil exports
The Iraqi Ministry of Oil announced on 22 February that all necessary measures to resume oil exports from the Kurdistan Region to Turkiye had been completed while calling on Kurdish authorities to transfer the required oil volumes to Iraq's state-owned oil company.
"The Federal Ministry of Oil confirms the completion of procedures to resume the export of oil produced in the Kurdistan region through the port of Ceyhan in accordance with the mechanisms set out in the budget law and its amendment and within the production ceiling specified for Iraq by OPEC," the statement said.
The ministry also requested that Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) authorities "deliver the quantities produced from the operating fields to the Oil Marketing Company (SOMO) to begin exporting oil through the Iraqi-Turkish pipeline and the port of Ceyhan in accordance with the term contracts signed with the nominated companies."
On Tuesday, Iraqi Oil Minister Hayyan Abdul Ghani stated that a senior-level delegation from his ministry visited Erbil to discuss the technical and legal framework for restarting Kurdistan's oil exports via Turkiye.
Abdul Ghani also noted that the Iraqi delegation and KRG Acting Minister of Natural Resources Kamal Mohammed had agreed to continue discussing the issue. On Monday, the Iraqi delegation arrived in Erbil to negotiate the restart of oil exports, following the request from the KRG.
On Friday, officials in the government of US President Donald Trump said Iraq must allow Kurdish oil exports to resume or face sanctions alongside Iran. Trump is seeking to cut Iranian oil exports to "zero" as part of a "maximum pressure" campaign on the Islamic Republic. The White House argued that Iraqi Kurdish oil production will be needed to offset the loss of Iranian oil on world markets.
KRG oil exports to Turkiye were halted in March 2023 after the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) ruled the exports were illegal according to a 1973 pipeline agreement between Iraq's central government in Baghdad and Ankara.
Exports of Iraqi Kurdish oil began in 2014 after leaders of the Iraqi Kurdistan region cut a deal with ISIS, allowing the extremist group to take Mosul, Sinjar, and other territories in exchange for allowing Kurdish Peshmerga forces to take the disputed city of Kirkuk.
Kurdish leaders wished to control Kirkuk's massive oil reserves to provide a revenue base to support the independent Kurdish state they hoped to establish. Baghdad insisted that the exports were illegal and must pass through the state oil company instead.
The Kirkuk-Ceyhan pipeline ran through territory conquered by ISIS, but Kurdish leaders had begun building a separate pipeline from Kirkuk to Turkiye via the Fishkhabour crossing in 2013.
After taking Kirkuk, the Kurdish region began illegally exporting oil via the newly built pipeline to Turkiye. The majority of this oil was sold to Israel, a backer of Kurdish independence. By 2015, Kurdish crude accounted for 77 percent of Israeli oil imports.

⭕️ Israel advancing 'Greater Jerusalem' plan
An Israeli ministerial committee is set to approve a bill on Sunday that would legalize the annexation of settlements around occupied East Jerusalem in an effort to establish a "Greater Jerusalem," according to a report by Haaretz. The bill, introduced by Likud MK Dan Iluz, aims to incorporate settlements such as Ma’ale Adumim, Beitar Illit, Givat Ze’ev, Efrat, and Ma’ale Mikhmas into a new administrative framework. If approved by the committee, the bill will proceed to the Knesset for a preliminary reading and, if passed, will require three readings before becoming law. Support for the bill is strong among both the government and some opposition factions, suggesting broad political backing for further annexation moves.
Haaretz quoted the left-wing Israeli association Ir Amim, which warned that the bill could pave the way for additional annexation in the West Bank and serve as a major obstacle to any future political solution. Iluz defended the measure, asserting that it is a necessary step toward full sovereignty over “Judea and Samaria” (the West Bank), comparing it to previous laws passed despite international pressure.

Israel has accepted a proposal brought by US envoy Steve Witkoff to extend the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement for another 42 days, facing rejection from the Hamas movement.
As a result of Hamas’s rejection – which stems from the resistance movement’s insistence on abiding by the terms of what was initially agreed upon – Israel announced on 2 March that it halted the entry of aid and supplies into the Gaza Strip.
“With the end of the first stage of the prisoner swap deal and following Hamas' rejection of Witkoff’s proposal to continue negotiations - which Israel agreed to - Prime Minister Netanyahu has decided to halt all imports of goods and supplies to the Gaza Strip as of today,” said the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a statement.
“Israel will not allow a ceasefire without the release of its prisoners. If Hamas continues to refuse, there will be further consequences,” the premier’s office added.
The extension deal agreed to by Netanyahu calls for the release of half of the estimated 22 living captives in Gaza, in exchange for Palestinian prisoners.

❗️Lebanese government sources have confirmed that Lebanese President Joseph Aoun will meet with self-appointed Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa during the Arab Summit in Cairo to discuss key bilateral issues. The meeting, requested by Aoun, will focus on Syrian refugees, border security, and smuggling through illegal crossings. Sources indicate that the talks will serve as a roadmap for future governmental negotiations under regional sponsorship, particularly concerning the dissolution of the Lebanese-Syrian Supreme Council and outdated bilateral treaties, which were previously in the interest of the former Syrian government. The summit, scheduled for 4 March, was called to address developments in the Palestinian issue, with Sharaa having received an invitation from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi last month.

Syrian Government Forces Deploy South Of Damascus To ‘End Chaos’ In Druze Villages — The Cradle
Clashes recently erupted between Syrian security forces and Druze militias in the city of Jaramana, resulting in casualties on both sides
Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS)-led Syrian security forces deployed to the city of Jaramana on the outskirts of Damascus late on 2 March to “end the state of chaos” in the area, according to state media.
“Our forces will work to end the state of chaos and illegal checkpoints set up by outlaw groups who have resorted to kidnapping, killing, and armed robbery,” Hussam Tahhan, the lieutenant colonel responsible for the Damascus countryside, told the Syrian state news agency SANA on 3 March. “This action follows the refusal of those involved in the assassination of the late Ahmad al-Khatib, a security member at the Ministry of Defense, to surrender themselves.”
“The armed individuals outside state authority rejected all mediations and agreements. No Syrian geographical area will remain outside the control of state institutions. We have witnessed significant cooperation from the residents of the city of Jaramana in this matter,” Tahhan added.
Jaramana, which is dominated by Syria's Druze religious minority, is home to some three million Syrians, including Christians and Sunni Muslims displaced from other parts of the country during the 14-year war that began in 2011.
Since HTS ousted Syrian president Bashar al-Assad and took power in Damascus in December, they have not been allowed to deploy their forces to Jaramana. The city has instead been protected by local Druze militias who operate checkpoints at its entrances.

Syrian Druze residents of the town of Majdal Shams in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights expel Israeli Finance Minister and other members of the Likud (Netanyahu’s party) from the funeral of the 12 youths who were killed after a missile fell on a soccer field.
The Israeli media and army have described the victims as Israeli civilians, but the residents of Majdal Shams are Syrian Druze living under occupation since the Israeli army occupied the Golan Heights in 1967.
Residents of the town have refused Israeli citizenship and continue to view themselves as Syrians.

IMF, World Bank Reconstruction Funds For Lebanon Contingent On 'Normalization': Report
Western officials have stated that Lebanon's access to international funding will be tied to political pressure to normalize ties with Israel and to disarm the resistance
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank are seeking to tie reconstruction funds for Lebanon to “normalization” with Israel and Hezbollah's “disarmament,” according to informed sources who spoke with Al-Akhbar.
During a recent meeting between acting Banque du Liban (BDL) governor Wassim Mansouri and IMF chief Kristalina Georgieva, the western official reportedly indicated that “Lebanon’s access to funding from the IMF and donor countries will … be linked to specific steps and procedures with a specific time frame and objective.”
“According to those familiar with the matter, these steps coincide with expected political pressures under the noscript of ‘normalization’ and ‘disarmament,’” the Lebanese daily reported on 26 February.
A day prior, Steve Witkoff, the US special envoy to West Asia, proclaimed he “sees potential” for Lebanon and Syria to join a normalization deal with Israel.
“Lebanon, by the way, could actually mobilize and come into the Abraham Peace Accords, as could potentially Syria. So, so many profound changes are happening,” Witkoff said Wednesday during an event in Washington for the American Jewish Committee.
In 2022, the IMF and Lebanon reached a staff-level agreement for a four-year Extended Fund Facility (EFF) valued at approximately $3 billion, contingent upon sweeping reforms of the financial sector. However, this deal has not progressed due to Lebanon's ongoing crises and deep-rooted corruption.
Earlier this month, Lebanese Finance Minister Yassin Jaber announced that the World Bank had prepared a “preliminary plan” for a $1 billion reconstruction project to rebuild infrastructure and remove debris from the Israeli war on Lebanon. The project includes an initial funding commitment of $250 million for Beirut.
According to Al-Akhbar's sources, World Bank representatives have requested that the required procedures be expedited to approve the fund at the World Bank’s Executive Board meeting on 25 March, contingent on western demands for financial and political reform.
The EU has also conditioned funding for Lebanon on the “need to restructure its banking system,” holding up the disbursement of 500 million euros in aid that is part of a 2024 deal signed between Beirut and Brussels to reduce the flow of refugees into Europe.
Half of the money was paid out last August. Still, the remainder will be subject to “some conditions,” EU Commissioner for the Mediterranean Dubravka Suica said during a visit to Lebanon.
“The main precondition is the restructure of the banking sector... and a good agreement with the International Monetary Fund,” she said after meeting Lebanese President Joseph Aoun.
Following Israel's brutal war on Lebanon, estimates say the country today needs an estimated $6-7 billion for full-scale reconstruction.
