IDF reports ‘defensive operations’ against Syrian infrastructure

Israeli troops continue to move deeper into Syria, raising consternation among the locals as they detain civilians on suspicion of “terrorism” and set up roadblocks to prevent villagers from accessing their lands inside the newly occupied “buffer zone.”

That “buffer zone” is getting bigger and bigger, crossing beyond the demilitarized zone between Syria and the occupied Golan Heights, and as a result is also shrinking the amount of land local residents are allowed to access...

The Israeli Army is now offering hiking tours of some of the newly-occupied part of Syria, calling them “Friends of Excursions” trips where Israeli forces will escort Israeli hikers into the closest 2.5 kilometers of Syria.

White House Says Hamas ‘Entirely Responsible’ For Israeli Execution Of Palestinian Medics

The US is still backing Israel over the executions even after a video showed the IDF was lying about the incident

The Trump administration has doubled down on its position that Hamas is to blame for Israeli troops executing 15 Palestinian medical workers in Gaza, even after a video showed that the Israeli military was lying about the incident.

The IDF initially claimed its forces opened fire on vehicles that were advancing “suspiciously” and had no headlights or flashing emergency lights . But a video recorded by one of the executed paramedic’s phone showed the ambulances they were driving had emergency lights on when the IDF opened fire.

“Forgive me, mother. This is the path I chose. To help people,” said Palestinian medic Refaat Radwan moments before he was killed.

The Israeli soldiers tried to cover up the crime by burying the 15 medics and their ambulances in a shallow grave. The IDF has since changed its story , acknowledging the lights were flashing and that they opened fire on unarmed men but claiming six of them were linked to Hamas while offering no evidence.

Despite the clear evidence of a war crime, the US is still backing the IDF’s conduct. “Hamas uses ambulances and more broadly human shields for terrorism,” White House National Security Council spokesman Brian Hughes told Reuters . “President Trump understands the impossible situation this tactic creates for Israel and holds Hamas entirely responsible.”

Israeli Military Now Controls More Than 50% Of Gaza’s Territory

An Israeli soldier said the IDF created a 'kill zone' where anyone approaching would be shot, including women and children

The Israeli military has rapidly seized land in Gaza since resuming its genocidal war on March 18 and now controls more than 50% of the Palestinian territory and has created “kill zones,” The Associated Press reported on Monday.

The most significant piece of territory Israel controls is a so-called “buffer zone” along the Gaza-Israel border, an area where the Israeli military has demolished buildings and agricultural land to make it uninhabitable.

The buffer zone was initially cut about 1 kilometer into Gaza’s territory, but since March 18, the IDF has significantly expanded it and is conducting more demolitions. Some parts of the buffer zone now push as far as 3 kilometers into Gaza.

An Israeli soldier deployed with a tank squad guarding a demolition team spoke with the AP . “They destroyed everything they could, they shot everything that looks functioning … (the Palestinians) will have nothing to come back, they will not come back, never,” the soldier said.

The soldier said that Israeli bulldozers flattened land to create a “kill zone” and that anyone who came within 500 meters of the tanks would be shot, including women and children.

⭕️ According to a report by Middle East Eye (MEE), Turkiye and Israel are in talks to establish a deconfliction line in Syria following Israeli airstrikes on sites including the Tiyas (T4) and Hama airbases—locations where Turkiye was preparing to deploy drones and install a layered air defense system.

Ankara had planned to take over the T4 base, using temporary S-400 systems until full reconstruction was completed. The goal of the talks is to avoid misunderstandings or unintended clashes between their militaries, especially as both expand their presence in Syria.

Western officials told MEE that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu believed there was a limited window to strike the T4 base before Turkish forces moved in, making the site off-limits to Israeli attacks.

While negotiations are ongoing, Netanyahu has insisted on the full demilitarization of southern Syria—including any Turkish military presence—amid US efforts to push both sides toward de-escalation.
