Egypt Condems Israel’s Statements About Greater Israel:

The Arab Republic of Egypt reaffirms its commitment to establishing peace in the Middle East and condemns statements in some Israeli media regarding the so-called “Greater Israel.” It has requested clarifications, stressing that such rhetoric fuels instability, rejects the path of peace, insists on escalation, and contradicts the aspirations of regional and international parties seeking security and stability for all peoples of the region.

‘Provocative, Delusional’: Arab States Slam Netanyahu’s Comments On ‘Greater Israel’

Israel has previously published maps showing Syrian, Lebanese, and Jordanian land as part of its territory

Arab states have condemned recent comments made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressing support for the idea of an expanded, “Greater Israel.”

Jordan said in a statement that Netanyahu’s remarks were a “dangerous and provocative escalation” and “a threat to the sovereignty of states.”

A Jordanian Foreign Ministry spokesman called Netanyahu’s comments “delusional” and “inflammatory.”

Netanyahu’s comments “will not affect Jordan and the Arab states and will not diminish the legitimate and inalienable rights of the Palestinian people,” the ministry added.

The Egyptian government also said it “requested clarification on this matter,” equating the Israeli premier’s words with a “rejection of the option of peace in the region.”

Iraq called Netanyahu’s comments “a clear provocation to the sovereignty of countries” and proof of Israel’s “expansionist ambitions,” while Qatar called them “absurd” and “inflammatory.”

Saudi Arabia made a statement as well, voicing its “total rejection of the ideas and plans for colonization and expansion adopted by the Israeli occupation authorities,” reiterating “the historical and legal right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state.”

Netanyahu made the comments earlier this week during an interview with Israeli news network i24.

The premier told i24 on Tuesday that he feels “very attached” to the vision of “Greater Israel,” and that he considers himself “on a historic and spiritual mission” that “generations of Jews that dreamt of coming here and generations of Jews who will come after us.”

“If you ask me what I think, we’re there,” Netanyahu went on to say in reference to the “Greater Israel” vision.

❗️UK government under pressure to release Gaza spy plane intel that flew 30 minutes before Israeli strike that killed six journalists

A privately contracted spy plane flying for the UK from the RAF’s Akrotiri base in Cyprus was reportedly over Gaza just half an hour before an Israeli airstrike murdered six journalists, including late Al Jazeera journalist Anas al-Sharif, on 10 August.

The UK Government is under growing pressure to be “fully transparent” and reveal whether it possesses intelligence from spy plane missions over Gaza during the time Israel carried out the targeted strike that killed the six journalists.

⭕️ 24 countries call for action against Gaza famine

Britain, Canada, Australia, and several European allies warned on Tuesday that the humanitarian situation in Gaza has reached "unimaginable levels," urging Israel to permit aid into the strip.

"Famine is unfolding before our eyes. Urgent action is needed now to halt and reverse starvation," the foreign ministers of 24 countries said.

The statement urged Israel to "provide authorization for all international NGO aid shipments and to unblock essential humanitarian actors from operating," stressing that "all crossings and routes must be used to allow a flood of aid into Gaza, including food, nutrition supplies, shelter, fuel, clean water, medicine and medical equipment."

The foreign ministers of Australia, Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Japan, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and Britain signed the statement.

Israel In Talks To Expel Palestinians To South Sudan: Report

The East African country is among several others which Israel and the US are considering as destinations for forcibly displaced Palestinians

Israel is in talks with South Sudan about the potential relocation of Palestinians from Gaza to the East African nation, according to several sources cited by AP.

The sources say it is unclear how far the negotiations have advanced.

Israel’s Foreign Ministry declined to comment, and South Sudan’s foreign minister did not respond to questions about the discussions.

A spokesperson for the US State Department also did not comment.

Joe Szlavik, the founder of a US lobbying firm working with South Sudan, said he was informed by South Sudanese officials about the discussions, adding that an Israeli team will make a trip to the country to study the possibility of establishing encampments for Palestinians.

Zelensky Says He Will Not Cede Donbas To Russia

Ukrainian President Zelensky is speaking out against the reported outline of an agreement that will be discussed by President Trump and Russian President Putin at a summit later this week aimed at ending the war.

While no Russian or American officials have explained the broad outline of the deal, leaks to the media suggest Putin is demanding that Ukraine cede the entire Donbas region. Moscow’s forces control most of the region.

“I am not going to surrender my country because I have no right to do so,” Zelensky said on Tuesday. “If we leave Donbas today, our fortifications, our terrain, the heights we control, we will clearly open a bridgehead for the preparation of a Russian offensive.”

Under the agreement, Kiev would also recognize Russian control of the territory it holds in southern Ukraine. Previously, Putin called for Zelensky to cede the entire Zaporizhzhia and Kherson oblasts.
