This morning, clashes erupted with ferocious vigor in Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, east of Gaza City in the northern #Gaza Strip.
The typically quiet area has not seen intense combat since January 9th, when the Martyr Izz El-Din Al-Qassam Brigades carried out 6 operations in the south of the neighborhood. The National Resistance Brigades also carried out a series of operations in its south and east in mid-January, while the neighborhood was quiet for two weeks before that.
However, the resistance appears to have been lying in wait. Sporadically, clashes erupted in the area across factions, with a total of 9 reported clashes or operations, and even a downed drone, from the last time RNN reported a significant resurgence in clashes in the northern Gaza Strip exactly one month ago until this morning.
Today alone, 14 operations were reported across all factions in Al-Zaytoun, as the IOF declared the beginning of a new weeks-long operation in the area after claiming repeatedly and over several weeks that it had "complete control" over the northern Gaza Strip.
We return back to Abu Obeida on day 100, who stated: "What will the technology of missiles, fortified tanks, and modern aircraft with their deadly weapons do in the face of the strength of the faith of a fighter who spends two months and more in his defensive position, waiting for the advancing forces, waiting to defeat his enemy, and carry out his mission, devoting all of that to Allah and believing in the justice of his cause?"
