Neste sábado (11), o jornal The New York Times revelou provas incontestáveis de que os ataques de 7 de Outubro foram planejados com antecedência pela alta liderança do Hamas.
Após a morte de Mohammad Sinwar, em maio deste ano, forças israelenses encontraram um computador desconectado da rede em um bunker subterrâneo com um memorando memorando de seis páginas, escrito à mão, datado de agosto de 2022 e atribuído a Yahya Sinwar, irmão de Mohammad e líder máximo do grupo na Faixa de Gaza.

O documento, cuja cópia foi obtida e analisada pelo The Times, orientava que membros do Hamas atacassem tanto comunidades civis quanto soldados e que incendiassem casas — tudo com o objetivo de filmar e divulgar as imagens para evocar medo em Israel e desestabilizar o país.

Embora o documento não mencione explicitamente planos para "sequestrar ou matar civis", ele dá ordens para que o Hamas entre em bairros residenciais e os incendeiem; o que seria impossível de acontecer sem que civis israelenses fossem atingidos. Além do documento, interceptações do exército israelense confirmam que, no dia 7 de Outubro, comandantes do Hamas ordenaram: "Quero que o kibutz inteiro esteja em chamas", "Comecem a incendiar as casas", “Ponha fogo em qualquer coisa”.

Esses dados ajudam a entender como o Hamas pensou e executou este que foi o ataque mais brutal contra os judeus desde o Holocausto, resultando em 1200 mortes e no sequestro de 250 pessoas, das quais 48 podem retornar a qualquer momento como parte da primeira fase do acordo de cessar-fogo entre Israel e Hamas.

"The preparatory stage for the raid: it is essential that the forces carry out intensive movements weeks before any action by the Red Side that the enemy regards as routine; this will serve as a cover story for the large movement."

"Care must be taken to release images that will cause an outbreak of intoxication, frenzy and eruption among our people, especially in the West Bank, 'inside', in Jerusalem and throughout our nation. This is to stimulate compliance with calls that will urge them to rise up. At the same time, they should cause an outburst of terror and fear among the enemy. Unit commanders must be instructed that they should deliberately produce these things, film them and broadcast the images as quickly as possible: trampling on soldiers' heads, point-blank shootings, stabbing several with a knife, blowing up tanks, soldiers kneeling with their hands on their heads, and so on."

"Events that will yield terrifying images must be planned in advance — several car bombs burning and exploding at an outpost or in a building and creating horrific destruction, heart-rending scenes, terrible fire. Five or ten such images will sow mortal fear in them. 'Allah struck them from where they did not expect and cast terror into their hearts.' Preparations should be made for two or three operations whose objective is to burn down an entire neighborhood or kibbutz, etc. — they should pour fuel or diesel from a special tanker, set the place on fire and broadcast the images."

"Each brigade commander must have a ready plan for mobilizing forces, their deployment, the manner of communicating with them and their employment according to central orders from the head of the apparatus."

"The objectives of the Northern Brigade should look primarily toward the coastline. The objectives of the Gaza Brigade should be in a north-east direction up to a certain angle. The objectives of the Central Camps should be in a north-east direction slanting toward the east. The objectives of the Khan Younis Brigade should be toward the east. The objectives of the Rafah Brigade should be toward the south-east."
