A StandWithUs Brasil, organização educacional dedicada ao combate ao antissemitismo e à promoção da educação para a paz, lamenta profundamente o evento ocorrido no último dia 7 de outubro na sede da APEOESP — o Sindicato dos Professores do Ensino Oficial do Estado de São Paulo —, realizado com o propósito de celebrar o massacre perpetrado pelo grupo terrorista Hamas na mesma data, dois anos atrás.
Apesar de ter se eximido publicamente, em nota, da responsabilidade pelo evento, um membro da diretoria do sindicato pode ser ouvido em vídeos que circulam nas redes sociais defendendo, em seu discurso, a exaltação da data e o ensino dela como exemplo para a “luta de todos os povos oprimidos” em escolas, sindicatos e partidos. Acreditamos que o dia 7 de Outubro deve, sim, ser abordado nas salas de aula — mas com o compromisso ético de ensinar que, neste massacre, o maior ataque contra judeus desde o Holocausto, também houve vítimas brasileiras.
Outra fala profundamente preocupante, proferida durante o evento, afirma que os brasileiros mortos pelo Hamas — Ranani Glazer, Bruna Valeanu, Karla Stelzer e Michel Nisembaum — eram “bandidos”. Na realidade, eram cidadãos brasileiros que perderam a vida em um ataque bárbaro, e tal declaração foi, lamentavelmente, seguida de aplausos.
Entristece-nos ver o salão de uma instituição que deveria zelar pelo ensino ético e humanista adornado com bandeiras do grupo terrorista Hamas e com cartazes que equiparam o sionismo ao nazismo — uma das mais cruéis formas de antissemitismo, conforme a definição prática não vinculativa elaborada pela Aliança Internacional em Memória do Holocausto (IHRA), da qual o Estado de São Paulo é signatário.
Reforçamos a importância de promover ações educacionais pautadas na tolerância, na empatia e no diálogo — especialmente em espaços de formação e representação docente. O papel dos educadores é construir pontes, não aprofundar divisões; transmitir conhecimento, não ódio. É fundamental que instituições de ensino e seus representantes estejam comprometidos com os valores democráticos, os direitos humanos e o combate a todas as formas de extremismo. A educação deve ser instrumento de paz e de respeito — jamais um palco para a celebração da violência.

Neste sábado (11), o jornal The New York Times revelou provas incontestáveis de que os ataques de 7 de Outubro foram planejados com antecedência pela alta liderança do Hamas.
Após a morte de Mohammad Sinwar, em maio deste ano, forças israelenses encontraram um computador desconectado da rede em um bunker subterrâneo com um memorando memorando de seis páginas, escrito à mão, datado de agosto de 2022 e atribuído a Yahya Sinwar, irmão de Mohammad e líder máximo do grupo na Faixa de Gaza.
O documento, cuja cópia foi obtida e analisada pelo The Times, orientava que membros do Hamas atacassem tanto comunidades civis quanto soldados e que incendiassem casas — tudo com o objetivo de filmar e divulgar as imagens para evocar medo em Israel e desestabilizar o país.
Embora o documento não mencione explicitamente planos para "sequestrar ou matar civis", ele dá ordens para que o Hamas entre em bairros residenciais e os incendeiem; o que seria impossível de acontecer sem que civis israelenses fossem atingidos. Além do documento, interceptações do exército israelense confirmam que, no dia 7 de Outubro, comandantes do Hamas ordenaram: "Quero que o kibutz inteiro esteja em chamas", "Comecem a incendiar as casas", “Ponha fogo em qualquer coisa”.
Esses dados ajudam a entender como o Hamas pensou e executou este que foi o ataque mais brutal contra os judeus desde o Holocausto, resultando em 1200 mortes e no sequestro de 250 pessoas, das quais 48 podem retornar a qualquer momento como parte da primeira fase do acordo de cessar-fogo entre Israel e Hamas.

"The preparatory stage for the raid: it is essential that the forces carry out intensive movements weeks before any action by the Red Side that the enemy regards as routine; this will serve as a cover story for the large movement."
"Care must be taken to release images that will cause an outbreak of intoxication, frenzy and eruption among our people, especially in the West Bank, 'inside', in Jerusalem and throughout our nation. This is to stimulate compliance with calls that will urge them to rise up. At the same time, they should cause an outburst of terror and fear among the enemy. Unit commanders must be instructed that they should deliberately produce these things, film them and broadcast the images as quickly as possible: trampling on soldiers' heads, point-blank shootings, stabbing several with a knife, blowing up tanks, soldiers kneeling with their hands on their heads, and so on."
"Events that will yield terrifying images must be planned in advance — several car bombs burning and exploding at an outpost or in a building and creating horrific destruction, heart-rending scenes, terrible fire.
