Trump is, in his usual crude style, making the relationships here very plain. Israel is an extension of the USA, a colony and Trump sees it as exactly that. Think also of his threats here, if those who don't hold US citizenship will face deportation for joining in a demonstration then what will be the punishment for those who are citizens? Loss of jobs, loss of access to banking services or perhaps prosecution under the plethora "anti terror" laws that exist in the US.
