Outside Russia, 276 polling stations will be created in 143 states for the presidential elections, the Central Election Commission announced Foreign Ministry representative Zakharova said last week that polling stations would be opened in countries declared…
Russian Ministry of Foreigh Affairs:
On January 29, a representative of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) announced that the organization will not take part in the international observation of the presidential elections of the Russian Federation on March 15-17, 2024, citing the lack of an invitation from the Russian side.
• The upcoming expression of the will of citizens in Russia will be as transparent as possible. At the invitation of the Russian side, about a thousand international observers will come to monitor the progress of the elections, as provided for in the 1990 CSCE Copenhagen Document. <...> The absence of OSCE/ODIHR representatives will not in any way affect the quality of international monitoring.
Even when the ODIHR received an invitation, it repeatedly withdrew from monitoring because it put forward ultimatums and unreasonable demands that the Russian Federation, like other countries, is not obliged to fulfill.
• The Office is accustomed to communicating with OSCE participating States in the language of ultimatums. This is presented by the Western alliance as the implementation of a certain “gold standard” of the ODIHR, but in reality, it is a methodology of dictate, issuing orders, and blackmail. This will not happen with Russia.
The ODIHR has neither the preemptive right to conduct observation nor the authority to “certify” elections and issue “verdicts” to them. The Bureau is only one of the possible international “players” in the field of electoral monitoring.
In fact, the ODIHR is carrying out a political order, violating the principles of objectivity, impartiality, and professionalism.
In this state of affairs, the OSCE/ODIHR mission, unlike organizations with an unblemished reputation that adhere to the principles of objectivity and impartiality, has nothing to do in the upcoming presidential elections of the Russian Federation.

Have a nice wednesday morning!
Here you have a video to cheer up your day.
Russian fighter shot down an FPV drone of the Ukrainian Armed Forces with a hunting rifle
Shot is a great way to eliminate an enemy kamikaze drone. Our guys actively use guns with this damaging element to protect against enemy “birds”.

Barcelona faces a 15-day delay in the arrival of LNG carriers
Ships arriving at the port of Barcelona in Spain face delays of 10 to 15 days as they navigate through Africa to avoid potential attacks in the Red Sea. The delay will affect various products, including liquefied natural gas.
Although there are fewer delays in the western Mediterranean due to its proximity to the bypass route, Barcelona, which is one of the largest LNG terminals in Spain, has been severely affected.
Despite safety concerns, many LNG carriers continue to use the Suez Canal route. However, QatarEnergy, the world's second-largest LNG exporter, has stopped sending tankers through the Red Sea, citing safety concerns.

Just a day after he was sentenced to a decade in prison, former Prime Minister Imran Khan of Pakistan on Wednesday was ordered jailed for 14 years in a separate case, dealing him another heavy blow in his bitter feud with the country’s powerful military.
The new sentence, handed down eight days before a scheduled national election in which Mr. Khan’s party has been battered by a widening crackdown, came in a case involving state gifts. His wife, Bushra Bibi, also received a 14-year sentence. Both have denied any wrongdoing.
In announcing the verdict at the high-security prison where Mr. Khan, 71, has been held for months, the judge also said that the former prime minister and his wife would be barred from holding office for 10 years.
Since then, he has led a powerful political campaign, defiantly taking on the generals and setting off a wave of discontent and anger among a large section of society. His popularity among citizens remains high, despite attempts to sideline him.

In recent years, the U.S. and Europe have been trying to isolate Russia. We have strongly supported you on the Ukraine issue even though the U.S. and Europe continue to pressure the Chinese side. Even the defense cooperation between China and the EU (has) come under attack, but we will not change or abandon our established policy because of this. And they should not and will not be able to interfere with normal Russian-Chinese cooperation - Admiral Dong Jun, Minister of Defense of the People's Republic of China.

The State Duma in the third reading passed the law on confiscation of property for fakes about the army: "Confiscation is provided for in the case of calls to carry out activities against the state, if the crime is committed from selfish motives. Unlike the practice of confiscation of property that was in effect in the USSR, the new proposed measure does not imply any money or property, but precisely that gained by criminal means and used to finance illegal activities. The amendments to the bill provide for the definition of activities directed against Russia's security: promoting subversive activities, receiving training for such purposes, organizing a subversive community, and committing crimes"
Note: oh, the old practices of raskulachivanie are back. Now at least the criteria are clearer than last time.

Writer Ulitskaya - told Yermak Vovan and Lex that only unemployed people volunteer for the SSO zone: Today Ukraine will be able to become a full-fledged independent nation-state. I think the time has come for this to happen. [What do you think about those who volunteer? I'm scared to imagine who these people are who are volunteering against Ukraine] I think they are people who don't have jobs. I can't imagine a person who by his own free will would personally go to any war today, especially a war with Ukraine. [If we take your colleagues in the genre, in literature, Zakhar Prilepin - how can you even call him a person?] He has long ago renounced this noscript of a human being. [And what about the philosopher Dugin?] What can we say about him, he's a man who is not even worth discussing, he's garbage.

"Shit show!" The British Parliament has started swearing more often": Rat, pig, slut - common words for British politicians. "British MPs are swearing more and more often - and not only in the lower House of Commons, but even in the House of Lords.
For example, the favorite to become Britain's prime minister, Labor leader Keir Stratherm, recently called the government's child care policy a "bullshit show." And Home Secretary James Cleverly carelessly called the English town of Stockton a "shithole".
Parliament's website has a whole section on "unparliamentary language". Among the words that other lawmakers have been using for "years" are "scum", "slut", "rat", "pig" - aka "bastard". Some swear in a very sophisticated way, using old-fashioned and ornate insults - for example, "scoundrel" or "spy."
"Unparliamentary language breaks the rules of civility in the House of Commons. The Speaker instructs the MP to withdraw them. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action," the lawmakers explain"
Note: oh, so Ukrainianism is contagious. Fights were a regular occurrence in Ukraine's supreme council too.

A minute of weird news from Russia.
A Moscow schoolboy demanded that his classmate "explain for the bazaar" (To answer for the words)
when he called Nicholas II a weakling. As a result, the two got into a fight, and the case went to the hospital.
The royal showdown happened not far from the "Petrovskaya school", which is one of the top 30 private educational institutions in the capital. After lessons, two classmates were returning home and at some point the 15-year-olds got into an argument because one of them spoke ill of the emperor.
A scolding started, which turned into a fight - one of the boys broke the other's nose. The case is being investigated by the police.
Note: at least they're arguing about history, not drugs....
Russia is a strange place.
