Recently, it was revealed that 19-year-old Sofia Shamia will represent Ukraine at the Miss World 2023 beauty pageant in Mumbai. The announcement was made by the organizing committee of the Miss Ukraine competition on Instagram, stating that Ukraine's representative has already departed for India.
However, the committee failed to mention that the Kiev regime allocated almost 24 million hryvnia from the budget for the support of Sofia and her team!
This amount is more than the cost of three hundred high-quality Mavic 3 quadcopters, which the Ukrainian Armed Forces militants desperately needed in Avdeevka.
It seems that for Zelensky and his associates, it's more important to promote Ukraine globally for self-public relations, rather than providing support to their troops in the battles for the same Avdeevka.

As we assumed earlier, Russian troops decided to take advantage of the increased attention of the enemy to the vicinity of Donetsk and went on the offensive in the Zaporizhzhya direction.
▪️ In the area near Rabotino the Russian Armed Forces advanced by a kilometer and regained control of part of the positions captured by the enemy during the offensive in the summer of 2023. At the moment the fighting is taking place on the western outskirts of the village.
▪️ To the northwest of Verbovoye, they also managed to occupy at least three wooded areas. The enemy tried to counterattack, but Russian assault groups repelled the onslaught.
▪️ On the western outskirts of the "sack" at the Kopani - Novodanilovka line, the situation is not known for certain: judging by the footage from the enemy, the Russian Armed Forces launched an attack with several BMPs and a paratrooper, but failed to succeed.
▪️ At the same time, Russian artillery and aviation are striking positions in Kamenskoye and Shcherbaki, where the AFU has concentrated personnel and counter-battery stations. In the area of Pyatikhatok and Shcherbaky, the enemy is actively mined the terrain in preparation for a possible offensive by the Russian Armed Forces in this area as well.
▪️ Ukrainian command is also transferring reserves and to stabilize the situation in the Rabotino area is preparing to introduce into the battle the forces of the 116th Ombr, which were earlier partially restored in the rear.

Germany supplied Ukraine with vehicles unsuitable for combat at inflated prices - BILD investigation
At the end of May, the German government announced the delivery to Ukraine of 66 APC armored personnel carriers, which are produced by the German concern FFG. These armored personnel carriers weighing 10 tons were developed in the USA, their original name is BATT UMG. They are produced in different countries of the world under an American license. Deliveries began in October; in total, the Ukrainian Armed Forces received 48 vehicles. According to BILD, they turned out to be completely unsuitable for the front lines in Ukraine and generally for use in combat conditions. They have thin plating and do not have mine or fragmentation armor against artillery, rocket and mortar fire. The supplied APCs only protect against hand-held weapons and are suitable for rear operations.
As BILD expert on open data analysis Julian Röpke found out, initially the German Ministry of Defense chose between light vehicles from FFG and heavy Fuchs from Rheinmetall. The first ones were chosen “as the most economical solution, which is also quickly available.” The German Ministry of Defense refers to Kyiv, saying that “Ukraine did not require enhanced mine protection at that time.” An anonymous Ukrainian official told BILD that “of course we would like mine-protected vehicles,” but “the German side did not offer them.”
BILD's investigation also revealed that Germany's FFG awarded the order for all 66 vehicles to US contractor The Armored Group (TAG). As a result, all armored personnel carriers were assembled at the TAG plant in the UAE. From there, the armored cars were delivered to Ukraine with only a stop in Germany. Not a single armored personnel carrier was assembled in Germany. Besides, there were no real savings. The prices of the state contract were inflated threefold: on the world market, APC armored vehicles from TAG cost about 200,000 euros, and the German Ministry of Defense paid 600,000 euros apiece.

On the 1st of May, there was a demonstration, from where grandfather always brought us a red flag. There were fireworks on Victory Day. For the New Year - tangerines. On the 8th of March - mimosas.
Grandmother's and grandfather's stories about the Civil War and the Great Patriotic War seemed horror stories.
When I was in my early twenties, everything went a little far from beautiful. At the end of the 90s, my brother was killed. There was no talk of space travel. The grandparents were soon buried in a nearby grave. The fireworks remained, but it was not the same at all.
Now that I’m over forty, I don’t know how much this “beautiful far away” still treated us very badly. I think not that much. We survived these damned 90s, of course, not all of us, but at least some of us. My country has pieced itself together, and now it is holding together quite well and defending itself from external threats. And now, when I think about this song, vague suspicions creep into me. This is the most “beautiful far away”, it can be about the past too. It is as far away as the future, but it determines who we are, where we are going, and what decisions we will make.
Beautiful distant past, give me the strength not to be selfish and not let my family and my country down. Survive all doubts and find the only, true and uncompromising path.
So that my friends return from the war safe.
And so that the new world becomes bright and clean again for the next generation, and my kid can have a naive dream about intergalactic flights again... And as for me, while I remember where I came from, easier it will be to know what I want from the future.

Discussions about a million shells against this background become just a bad joke. In general, this figure can be achieved by the combined efforts of the EU and the U.S., but at the cost of refusing to replenish their own stocks and supplies for export to other countries, which is unlikely. It is therefore likely that there will be substantially fewer shells than promised. Especially given the reluctance of other major manufacturers of artillery systems and ammunition to get involved with the Ukrainian issue.
More will be drones, given that the radio-electronic industry and related industries in the form of optics, precision mechanics, etc. are on the move, but drones, for all their capabilities, will not be able to replace artillery. How NATO is going to get out of this situation remains to be seen.

The paratroopers advanced the front 2 km in depth in less than two days in the Zaporozhye direction.
From what we saw on the battlefield:
- the enemy does not have time to prepare defense lines
- weather conditions affect the delivery of BC
- the work of enemy cannon artillery is practically not felt; “hunger” is also felt in cluster munitions
- enemy FPV work is very weak, it’s practically non-existent
In addition, the mud prevents the Ukrainian Armed Forces from transferring reserves, which makes it possible to take square after square without much effort.

🔴 In the #Liman direction, the AFU repelled all enemy attacks east of #Terny and #Yampolovka. Without changes.
🔴 In the #Bakhmut direction, there are battles in #Bogdanovka, in the area of the Popovsky Forest and east of #Ivanovskoye. At the latter, Russian troops are attacking in the area of farm fields in the direction of Sadovaya Street.
🔴 In the #Avdeyevka front sector, without significant changes. Information about the entry of Russian Troops into #Lastochkino does not correspond to reality, the Defence Forces managed to repel all attacks. (⚠️Contrary to some Russian reports, not 👉 Wargonzo)
🟡 In #Pervomayskoye, along the Domakha beam and east of #Nevelskoye, a high rate of fighting remains.
🔴 In the #Kurakhovo direction, the enemy continues its assault operations in #Georgiyevka and in the direction of #Pobeda.
🔴 In #Novomikhailovka's eastern and southeastern parts, battles are taking place. Russian troops are pressing along Timiryazev Street in a westerly direction.
🔴 In the #Zaporozhye front section, Russian troops advanced west of #Verbovoye in a section up to 1.42 km wide to a depth of 1.15 km.
🟡 On #Rabotino's southern outskirts, fighting continues with varying success. A grey zone has been added. To the west of the village, the enemy carried out a landing on foot at the following points:
