🚨Two people were shot and killed after an altercation outside of a food truck in Alabama on Sunday, police said. The Birmingham Police Department has started a double homicide investigation after the incident early Sunday morning in Birmingham.

According to officials, the altercation happened outside a food truck restaurant around 2 a.m., which turned physical and led to gunfire. The truck was across the street from the Empire Night Club.

Birmingham police and fire responded to a call of a person shot outside the food truck. That person was pronounced dead at the scene. As officers continued investigating, another victim was found dead inside a van. It is still unknown whether the second person was part of the altercation or hit by stray gunfire. Currently, there is no one in custody.
