Not everything that Ukraine offers to German government is supported by Berlin, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock stated. She also stressed the need to protect the UN Charter and consider ways to modernize the organization.
During his address to the UN Security Council on Wednesday, Zelensky said the United Nations was at a "dead end" due to Russia having the right of veto in the organization. In this regard, he urged the reform of the UN, including its veto power mechanism, saying that the UN General Assembly should be enabled to override a veto by two thirds majority vote.

US Congressman Paul Gosar, in a letter obtained exclusively by Sputnik on Wednesday, is questioning the effectiveness of a US law prohibiting funds for Ukraine's Azov Battalion*.
🗣 "Congress was correct to incorporate Section 8138 into the FY 2023 Consolidated Appropriations Act, prohibiting funds made available from the legislation from going to the reprehensible neo-Nazi militant organization. Despite this, I question the effectiveness of Section 8138," Gosar said in the letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.
Gosar stressed that he is concerned the Azov unit has been incorporated into the National Guard of Ukraine. US arms, weapons, intelligence, and training, are going to Azov militia, which is patently illegal, he added.
