Journalists in the Gaza Strip continue their work despite frequent interruptions in the network, Internet and electricity access, which prevent the rapid transfer of information. At the same time, journalists are often targets of Israeli airstrikes, as are their family members. Mahmoud Mazloum, a producer and reporter for the "Palestine" channel in the Gaza Strip, told Sputnik.

"For example, my colleague, a correspondent for our TV channel, Muhammad Abu Khattab, was killed along with his family members 15 minutes after the end of his live broadcast. He finished his broadcast, entered the house, and the building was hit. He lived near Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis City."

China's development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to run space platforms and satellites is going to be "a real game changer" in terms of operating military capabilities in space, US Space Force Chief Technology and Innovation Officer Lisa Costas said.

China has spent $14.7 billion on AI this year and that figure is projected to almost double to $26 billion by 2026, Costas said.

"The People's Liberation Army (PLA) argues the need for AI to support and protect China's space assets ...In April they allowed AI to take over one of the cameras on a satellite ... It looked at an area between Japan and China where there were (US) aircraft carriers and between India and China where there had been border skirmishes," Costas said.

🇧🇴 The United States and Europe are losing their influence as pillars of the global economy to countries in the Asia-Pacific region, Bolivian President Luis Arce said.

Arce delivered a report to the parliament on Bolivia's economic development results over his three years in office, saying that the emerging economies, particularly those in the BRICS grouping, would maintain economic growth rates of at least 4% in 2023 and 2024.

"This [the economic growth] makes it clear that their economies are growing faster than those of the so-called advanced economies. “The Abrams' days are numbered,” concluded military expert Michael Peck speaking of the main US battle tank. This model lags behind in all characteristics from weight and maneuverability to adaptability to different battlefields.

David T. Pyne, an EMP Task Force scholar and former US Department of Defense official, also bemoaned the Abrams’ heaviness, telling Sputnik that the US “does not currently have any light tanks in its inventory and has no plans to acquire any.”
