“The Abrams' days are numbered,” concluded military expert Michael Peck speaking of the main US battle tank. This model lags behind in all characteristics from weight and maneuverability to adaptability to different battlefields.
David T. Pyne, an EMP Task Force scholar and former US Department of Defense official, also bemoaned the Abrams’ heaviness, telling Sputnik that the US “does not currently have any light tanks in its inventory and has no plans to acquire any.”
The ex-Pentagon official described the M1 as a “very heavy tank," which he said weighs twenty tons more than its Russian rivals, the T-72 and the T-90. Abrams “fared well during US invasions of Iraq”, but is “not well suited to fight a war in the Pacific,” Pyne added in an obvious nod to the militarization in the APAC.

A group of photojournalists working for the New York Times, CNN, Reuters, and AP apparently documented the October 7 Hamas attack against Israel without notifying their respective media outlets, according to Honest Reporting.
Take a look at the photo of journalist Hassan Eslaiah against the background of a burning Israeli tank and videos from the conflict zone. He was seen in the area wearing neither a helmet nor a press vest. There is also a photo showing Eslaiah with Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar.
Following the revelations, representatives of AP and Reuters denied any advance knowledge of the attack, while CNN announced the decision to “suspend ties with Eslaiah.”
Honest Reporting, for its part, stressed that those, who “actively or passively” collaborated with Hamas to obtain the October 7 attack-related photos, should be urged “to redefine the border between journalism and barbarism.”
