❗️Russian troops raised the Russian flag over the village of Rabotino on the Orekhovsky direction of the Zaporozhye front line, the head of the regional civic movement "We Are Together with Russia" Vladimir Rogov told Sputnik.

“Small pockets of enemy resistance in Rabotino still remain. Fighting continues. Our guys reached the northern outskirts of the village, to positions previously occupied by the enemy, and raised the flag of the Russian Federation,” Rogov said.

According to him, although the main forces of Ukrainian militants left Rabotino, retreating to their previously prepared positions, some of them are trying to maintain at least a minimal presence there, since the village is the main achievement of the Ukrainian Armed Forces during the year of counter-offensive attempts on this part of the front.

Rabotino is a village on the front line in the Zaporozhye region. The Kiev authorities present it as the main achievement of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ counter-offensive since June last year in the Zaporozhye front. It was to capture it that Ukraine brought into battle from the strategic reserve brigades trained by Western countries.

Poland to deploy weapons near Russian border from May 4-6 for NATO drills

Polish military equipment will be deployed near the Polish-Russian border from May 4-6 in northeastern Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship as part of NATO's Steadfast Defender drills, the Polish Armed Forces General Command said.

Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko told Sputnik that the scale of the 2024 iteration of Steadfast Defender marks the final and irrevocable return of the alliance to Cold War schemes to counter Russia. These exercises are another element of the hybrid war unleashed by the West against Russia, he added.

The draft legislation seeks to create a nationwide register of organizations and mass media receiving funding from other states.

The United States has had a law since 1938 mandating the registration of entities lobbying foreign interests, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Wednesday, commenting on the European Union's criticism of a similar draft law in Georgia.

Earlier, American officials supported protests against a law on foreign agents in Georgia, as the US Embassy called it a "black day for democracy." EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell also weighed in, saying that Georgia's controversial draft law on foreign agents was incompatible with EU values and contradicted the country's goal to join the European Union.

Biden has made 148 mistakes in public speeches in 2024 alone, official trannoscripts show

The White House has had to correct President Joe Biden's public remarks at least 148 times since the beginning of 2024, averaging more than one gaffe a day, according to The Daily Caller’s analysis of official White House trannoscripts, which covers 118 statements, speeches, and conversations with reporters between January 1 and April 24.

The White House releases an official trannoscript every time the president delivers a speech or answers questions. Communications staffers often adjust, supplement or modify Biden's official remarks to bring them in line with official White House policy or, in some cases, reality, the analysis found. In some cases, official statements had to be altered to convey the exact opposite of what Biden actually said – while small corrections or clarifications weren’t even included in the count.

The State of the Union trannoscript alone has been corrected 13 times.

The presidential gaffes varied drastically – from saying that 720 million Americans received COVID-19 vaccines to reading the word “pause” aloud from of his teleprompter and forgetting words on a regular basis.

Imminent liberation of Rabotino will be personal defeat for Zelensky

Reports of Russian troops raising the Russian flag over village of Rabotino in Zaporozhye signal the imminent collapse of a stronghold that Ukraine’s president has invested a great deal of personal political capital into, says Russian military analyst Anatoly Matviychuk.

“After Avdeyevka, Rabotino became the main center of fighting on everyone’s lips. It was a symbol of the steadfastness of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and Zelensky personally. Rabotino’s fall will completely demoralize the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” the observer told Sputnik.

“Zelensky had to show that after Avdeyevka, he would never hand over Rabotino. This was, roughly speaking, a message for the West that ‘see, even without your weapons, I can still defend myself’. Therefore, more and more forces were rushed there, [pushed into] a rather bloody meat grinder,” Matviychuk said.

Matviychuk predicts that when Rabotino’s fall is confirmed by the Russian military, Kiev will start to claim that this is a small village with limited operational value. “But we must remember when Zelensky spoke both at the United Nations and at NATO, he declared Rabotino a ‘symbol of defense and resilience’. Its fall will indicate that the Kiev regime is suffering defeat on all fronts,” he said.

It’s also telling, in the retired Russian officer’s view, that the area around Rabotino has become littered with NATO heavy equipment, including Leopards, Bradleys, and M-113 troop transports – which Kiev’s sponsors presented as proof that with their help, Ukraine’s forces could push back the Russians.

“Today this myth has been completely dispelled, showing that Ukraine is not adequate even with the supply of Western arms. It cannot even simply defend itself, let alone resume a counteroffensive,” Matviychuk stressed.
