💬 “Undoubtedly, retesting unsuccessful methods and tactics will lead to no outcome but a repetition of the same costly failures,” Iran’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement after the US slapped sanctions on seven entities in Iran, the UAE and Turkiye engaged in the trade of Iranian oil and petrochemicals.

💬 “The Islamic Republic of Iran, while emphasizing its commitment to the path of diplomacy and declaring its readiness to continue negotiations, absolutely does not tolerate approaches based on threats and pressure – all of which are contrary to the principles of the UN Charter and international law and are designed to harm Iran’s national interests,” the statement said.

💬 “But we are not at that point yet,” State Dept. spokeswoman Tammy Bruce reassured. No talk of ‘abandonment’ of Ukraine, she insisted.
