The Trump administration has reportedly told Venezuela’s interim president Delcy Rodríguez that Caracas must meet White House demands before being allowed to pump more oil, ABC News reported, citing three people familiar with the plan.

💬 “First, the country must kick out China, Russia, Iran, and Cuba and sever economic ties,” the sources said.

💬 “Second, Venezuela must agree to partner exclusively with the US on oil production and favor America when selling heavy crude oil,” they added.

🛢 According to ABC News, Secretary of State Marco Rubio told lawmakers in a private briefing that Washington believes it can apply pressure because Venezuela’s oil tankers are already full, and that the US estimates Caracas has only “a couple of weeks” before it could face financial insolvency without selling its oil reserves.

💬 “The government does intend to control the oil, taking charge of the ships, the tankers, and none of them are going to go to Havana,” Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Roger Wicker told the outlet.

The White House did not dispute the reporting and said the president is focused on “exerting maximum leverage” and ensuring cooperation.

⚔️ US aggression against Venezuela leaves about 75 dead — reports

The United States assesses that around 75 people were killed during the attack on Caracas and kidnapping of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, The Washington Post reported, citing officials familiar with the matter.

🇻🇪🇨🇺 According to the report, the death toll includes Venezuelan and Cuban security personnel as well as civilians caught in the fighting, with most fatalities linked to a gun battle at Maduro’s compound in Caracas.

🇺🇸 The report also said about half a dozen US troops were injured during the operation, some by gunfire. The Pentagon said two US service members are still recovering, while five others have returned to duty.

Former president of Honduras

Manuel Bonilla (1849–1913) served as president of Honduras from 1903 to 1907 and again from 1912 to 1913. He worked closely with the US United Fruit Company.

📄 While initially the hope was that the US would commit to a joint statement on the security guarantees for Ukraine, the final declaration was ultimately only signed by the EU’s “Coalition of the Willing,” US media reports.

Details of US participation in the multinational force for Ukraine were reportedly removed from an earlier draft, which was based on NATO’s notorious Article 5 "attack against all" clause.

🚨🇺🇸🇷🇺 US attempts to intercept Russian oil tanker in the Atlantic Ocean

The Russian company BurevestMarin reported an attempted US interception of the tanker Marinera in the North Atlantic.

Despite the captain's efforts to demonstrate that the vessel was carrying no cargo and was a civilian ship, it was pursued by US Navy P-8A Poseidon drones.

Earlier this week, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Moscow was closely monitoring the abnormal situation surrounding the Russian oil tanker Marinera, which was in international waters of the North Atlantic under the Russian flag and in full compliance with international maritime law.

💬 "For reasons unclear to us, the Russian ship is being given increased and clearly disproportionate attention by the US and NATO military, despite its peaceful status,"the ministry emphasized.

Russia expects Western countries, which declare their commitment to freedom of navigation in international waters, to adhere to this principle themselves, the ministry said.
