A year ago, I created a full line of clean personal care products for The Clean Living Project. I spent months perfecting it, formulating products I wanted for myself and the world, completely free of toxic ingredients. Every detail was ready: the formulations, the manufacturing, the packaging. Everything.
But just as I was about to launch, I lost my income overnight. Getting the line up and running required capital I no longer had. I had a small savings, but I now needed it to survive. So the project got shelved at the very last minute.
The people close to me at the time knew how hard I worked on this and how passionate I was. I dedicated all my time to researching and learning about every ingredient. Having to abandon a dream I worked so hard on and believed in was a punch in the gut.
I still want to bring it to life, and I may have just found a way, but I want to know if people would still be excited about it after all this time. If I could make it happen, would you want it?

"Vote with your dollars" means using your spending choices to support the companies, products, and values you believe in, while avoiding the ones you don’t.
The idea is that every time you buy something, you’re essentially “casting a vote” for the business practices behind it. If enough people consistently support ethical brands and boycott harmful ones, the market eventually shifts to reflect those priorities.
But there’s something else to keep in mind.
When something becomes popular, whether it’s natural skincare, clean eating, or sustainable living, you’ll always see two kinds of people rush in: those who believe in it and feel passionately about it, and those who see dollar signs.
Opportunists cashing in on a trend aren’t going to protect your health as fiercely as their own, the way someone who truly cares will.
A good example is Proctor and Gamble acquiring brands like Native (Natural Deodorant), TULA Skincare, and Mielle Organics.
Do you think P&G suddenly cares after poisoning you for decades? Of course not. They’re still poisoning you with Pantene, Olay, Secret, Gillette, Crest, etc. But they know there’s money now in “natural” products as the trend shifts in that direction.
So what happens when integrity isn’t part of someone’s business model? In the case of P&G acquiring Native, they quietly changed some of their ingredients. Native went from being known for its focus on natural ingredients and transparency, to adding things like "fragrance.” If you watched The Clean Living Project, you know “fragrance” is a term used as a loophole to legally conceal harmful chemicals.
Clean Living is not easy unfortunately. We have to be diligent about reading labels, researching brands, and questioning marketing ploys. But every time we “vote with our dollars,” we push the market toward better options. The more we demand integrity and honesty, the more accessible and affordable truly clean products from ethical sources will become.

Bucket Theory
Clean living is hard work. Once we begin detoxifying our lives, we realize we have an uphill battle ahead of us. It’s very easy to get overwhelmed when we see that poisons are everywhere, and that even our food, air, and water are toxic. It’s enough to make you want to give up.
That’s where Bucket Theory has been a game changer for me.
The idea is this: Think of your body as a bucket that’s filling up with water. The water represents toxins building up in your body. Your body was built to handle toxins, but there’s a limit to how much. Think of the water spilling over when that limit is reached. That tipping point is where we start seeing inflammation, illness, and disease. There’s also small spigot at the bottom of the bucket working hard to drain the water, that’s your body’s natural detox system. The human body was made to eliminate what’s harmful. Unfortunately the world is so full of poison now, it has a harder time keeping up.
So your job is not to eliminate toxins completely (which is good, because that would be impossible). You just need to slow down the rate at which the toxins are entering your body so your spigot has the chance to do its job.
Even small changes can make a huge difference. Remember, the goal is just to stay under the spill over point. You don’t have to change everything in your life to do that. Sometimes swapping out a few products can do the trick! Especially if they’re things you use every day that can really add up. Filter your water. Choose cleaner food when you can. Change your laundry detergent to something clean and free from harsh chemicals. Every drop you keep out of the bucket is one less drop pushing you to overflow.
Don’t worry about getting everything perfect, remember stress itself is toxic to your body. Cortisol and adrenaline are just more water in the bucket, so obsessing over every detail only works against you. This is why my favorite saying on The Clean Living Project is “Do what you can, where you can.” Living cleaner is totally possible when you let small changes add up. 🩷

The task force will make recommendations focused on developing and refining childhood vaccines that result in “fewer and less serious adverse reactions,” improving the reporting of adverse reactions and supporting research on vaccine safety, according to HHS. The first report will be sent to Congress within two years.

Here's something fascinating that happens when you put a clove in your mouth just before you go to bed.

It’s very easy to feel helpless in times like this.
Some of you know about my background as a hypnotherapist. As someone very familiar with states of hyper suggestibility, this is one area where I can try to help.
The following are a few simple techniques to help pull yourself out of that hypnotic state and minimize the impact on your mind and body.
Look around and acclimate yourself to your surroundings periodically.
When we are in a highly focused survival state, we tend to get tunnel vision and the world around us fades out. If you’ve ever had a panic attack, you know this feeling well. That is a more pronounced and severe example of what I’m talking about, but the same thing happens on a less obvious scale in trauma induced hypnosis. We get locked into our phones, computers or the TV. Or sometimes we just get locked down within our own thoughts. Have you ever noticed how when an animal experiences something overwhelming, a cat falling out of a tree, a dog running into a wall, their first instinct is to shake their body? Part of this is a natural response to reorient themselves to their surroundings. Anxiety creates a dissociated “freeze” state. Take time to look around your environment, all around you, taking notice of as many details as you can. If you’re inside, look around all four corners and all four walls of the room. It’s also helpful to stand up and shake out your body, your arms, your legs, and gently shake your head back and forth. This helps to reset the body, allowing the parasympathetic nervous system (the “rest and digest” state) to come back online.
5-4-3-2-1 grounding exercise
This is another variation of the above. Pause for a moment and name 5 things you can see, 4 you can touch, 3 you can hear, 2 you can smell, 1 you can taste. This brings awareness back into the body.
Box Breathing
Inhale 4 counts → Hold 4 → Exhale 4 → Hold 4. Do 4 rounds. This calms the vagus nerve and lowers cortisol.
Mental Distancing
This is a very common modality used in hypnosis to minimize, or completely remove, anxiety caused by memory of a traumatic scene. You can do this if the image spontaneously comes up into your mind, or you can practice it now. Take a few slow, deep breaths and close your eyes. Picture the disturbing image shrinking down smaller and smaller with every breath you take, until it is the size of a postage stamp, then turn the image to black and white, and imagine it floating away. You can even blow out through your lips and imagine blowing it off into the distance until it completely disappears.
Some other tips I have, avoid replaying the videos or seeking out more, this re-exposure reinforced the trauma loop. Talk about it in a safe space, sharing your feelings with supportive people can release the emotional charge. And be patient with your mind and body. Trauma is not a sign of weakness, it’s the nervous system doing its job. It just needs help coming back into balance.

When I was growing up, there was a high amount of fear surrounding fevers. Who doesn’t remember hearing that they caused brain damage if not treated? The number I always heard was anything over 102°.
When my son was a baby, he would regularly spike fevers of 104°. He never really got sick, he would just get the fever. And he always seemed unfazed by them, playing and smiling through them, but I was a nervous wreck. Although I wasn’t yet “awake” I instinctively hated giving him Tylenol, but it was always in my head that his fevers would cause brain damage if I didn’t treat them.
I am SO grateful he had a really awesome pediatrician who took away my fear by assuring me that as long as he was acting like himself, there was nothing to worry about. Brain damage comes from prolonged fevers over 108° or external high temperatures, like a little one left in a hot car. He assured me that the body knows what it’s doing, and as long as my son was acting comfortable, even fevers of 104° were nothing to worry about. In fact, they really did seem to be doing their job because my baby never so much as had a runny nose, he would spike a high fever for half a day and be fine.
I have to wonder about the fear that was used on parents to get them to run to the Tylenol at the first sign of fever. And I’m so glad that light is being shed on this topic now so hopefully it’s no longer common practice. 🙏

NEW🚨: The FDA released a new scientific analysis Friday, concluding that fluoride supplements have limited benefits for children's teeth and may be linked to emerging safety concerns, including gut issues, weight gain and cognition.
The Food and Drug Administration on Friday moved to limit the use of fluoridesupplements used to strengthen children's teeth, the latest action by Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his deputies against a chemical that is a mainstay of dental care.
The FDA said that the products are no longer recommended for children younger than 3 and those who are older but don't face serious risks of tooth decay. Previously, the products have been prescribed for children as young as six months.
The action stopped short of FDA statements in May suggesting regulators would seek the removal of the products from the market. Instead, the agency sent letters to four companies warning them not to market their products outside the new limits.
The agency also sent a form letter to dentists and other health providers warning about the risks of the products.
