When I was growing up, there was a high amount of fear surrounding fevers. Who doesn’t remember hearing that they caused brain damage if not treated? The number I always heard was anything over 102°.

When my son was a baby, he would regularly spike fevers of 104°. He never really got sick, he would just get the fever. And he always seemed unfazed by them, playing and smiling through them, but I was a nervous wreck. Although I wasn’t yet “awake” I instinctively hated giving him Tylenol, but it was always in my head that his fevers would cause brain damage if I didn’t treat them.

I am SO grateful he had a really awesome pediatrician who took away my fear by assuring me that as long as he was acting like himself, there was nothing to worry about. Brain damage comes from prolonged fevers over 108° or external high temperatures, like a little one left in a hot car. He assured me that the body knows what it’s doing, and as long as my son was acting comfortable, even fevers of 104° were nothing to worry about. In fact, they really did seem to be doing their job because my baby never so much as had a runny nose, he would spike a high fever for half a day and be fine.

I have to wonder about the fear that was used on parents to get them to run to the Tylenol at the first sign of fever. And I’m so glad that light is being shed on this topic now so hopefully it’s no longer common practice. 🙏

NEW🚨: The FDA released a new scientific analysis Friday, concluding that fluoride supplements have limited benefits for children's teeth and may be linked to emerging safety concerns, including gut issues, weight gain and cognition.

The Food and Drug Administration on Friday moved to limit the use of fluoridesupplements used to strengthen children's teeth, the latest action by Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his deputies against a chemical that is a mainstay of dental care.

The FDA said that the products are no longer recommended for children younger than 3 and those who are older but don't face serious risks of tooth decay. Previously, the products have been prescribed for children as young as six months.

The action stopped short of FDA statements in May suggesting regulators would seek the removal of the products from the market. Instead, the agency sent letters to four companies warning them not to market their products outside the new limits.

The agency also sent a form letter to dentists and other health providers warning about the risks of the products.

Starting in December, stores will sell Simply NKD versions of the popular snack that have no artificial flavors or dyes — meaning no bright orange color, PepsiCo announced Thursday.

The move comes following a push by Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to get rid of synthetic food dyes in the nation's food supply. The Food and Drug Administration asked the industry to stop using dyes in April, but stopped short of banning them. 

For Cheetos and Doritos, the original versions will still be available in addition to the new options.

ICYMI🔥: Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced November 17 that federal agencies will investigate the causes of food allergies, with a focus on expanding human studies and examining potential links to aluminum-containing vaccines.

Speaking at a Food Allergy Fund event in Washington, Kennedy stated: “It’s pretty easy to figure this out, and we will figure it out.”

He noted an abundance of animal research but a lack of human studies on allergy triggers, specifically mentioning aluminum adjuvants used in several vaccines.

The CDC maintains aluminum salts have been used safely in vaccines for over 70 years, though a 2022 study co-authored by CDC researchers identified a possible association between vaccine aluminum exposure and persistent asthma in children.

Kennedy’s remarks align with President Trump’s September statement that aluminum would be removed from vaccines. No formal action has been taken yet, but the CDC’s vaccine advisory panel plans to review adjuvant and contaminant safety, including aluminum, at its December meeting.

Some experts attribute rising food allergies to early avoidance of allergens, citing declining peanut allergies after reversal of 2000 pediatric guidelines delaying peanut exposure.

WaPo🚨: FDA official Vinay Prasad outlined stricter vaccine approval processes in an internal email Friday, concluding that COVID-19 vaccines contributed to at least 10 child deaths based on a review of 96 VAERS reports from 2021-2024.

Prasad proposed rethinking annual flu shot frameworks, scrutinizing multiple simultaneous vaccines, and requiring manufacturers to provide extensive safety and efficacy data—such as proving pneumonia vaccines reduce cases, not just antibodies—and rigorous studies for pregnant women.

“This is a profound revelation,” Prasad wrote. “For the first time, the US FDA will acknowledge that COVID-19 vaccines have killed American children.”

NEW: HHS Secretary RFK Jr. appointed Yale professor emeritus Harvey Risch as chair of the President’s Cancer Panel within the National Cancer Institute.

Risch told Just the News-Real America’s Voice that he wants rigorous studies on ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine as potential cancer treatments, noting anecdotal reports but emphasizing the need for formal evaluation to determine efficacy.

Risch cautioned against overpromising, stating cancer is highly treatable with 50 years of research, and highlighted prevention’s underappreciated role.

He suggested pharmaceutical companies develop safe, low-cost prevention medications they could patent.

“It’s a question of … being able to sort the fringe from the real” when it comes to evaluating emerging and alternative treatments, Risch said. The only way to vet the “whole industry of purported claims about medications and supplements,” which should be approached “with a skeptical eye,” is through “more formal evaluation.”

JUST IN: The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services plans to recommend fewer vaccines for most American children.

Officials will maintain recommendations for measles, mumps, rubella, polio, chickenpox, and HPV vaccines, but limit RSV, meningococcal, hepatitis B, and hepatitis A shots to higher-risk children.
