Good morning everyone, the Supreme Court will convene this morning to hear a case ( Alexander v. SC Conference of NAACP ), about a South Carolina redistricting map being challenged for racial gerrymandering. Depending on the outcome of the case, there could be significant implications for District One, which is currently being held by Representative Nancy Mace. A decision in the case it’s expected next June.

It’s social media day at the Supreme Court, the court will hear two cases about whether public officials have the constitutional right to block their constituents on social media. Vidal, Under Sec. Of Comm. v. Elster and justices will consider whether blocking someone from trademarking a phrase “Trump too small”, which is used as criticism against Former President Trump’s hands, is a violation of that persons free speech.
The phrase “Trump too small” surfaced the internet following an exchange in 2016 with Ted Cruz on the debate stage in reference to Trump’s hands.

Good morning Supreme Court fans, it’s Election Day in some states but it’s gun day at the Supreme Court. Justices will convene to hear a controversial gun rights case about whether a law prohibiting individuals with domestic restraining orders from owning a gun violates the second amendment. The case is called United States V Rahimi and it’s the first of two (so far) tests to the strength of the second amendment so far this term. A decision in this case is likely by the end of June.
