Brigadier Iqbal — ISI’s Invisible Hand Over PAFF
🟥 Identity: Senior ISI officer, allegedly Brigadier rank
🟥 Role:
▪️ Direct oversight over PAFF operations, per Masroor Khan
▪️ Monitors execution, strategic alignment, and inter-group coordination

🔎 Though not publicly confirmed, the claim adds to consistent assessments of state-run orchestration of proxy outfits like PAFF.

The Fall of TRF — From ISI’s Poster Child to Disposable Asset
🟥 Chief: Sajad Gul
🟥 Initial Phase: Supported by ISI and LeT, per Masroor Khan
🟥 Current Status:
▪️ Reportedly abandoned by both ISI and LeT
▪️ But TRF name still used by ISI to claim civilian killings
▪️ Analysts note:
🔸 TRF continues to claim attacks like
• Z-Morh attack
• Pahalgam attack (2025)
• Reasi bus attack (2024)
🔸 Mostly targeting civilians and soft targets

Since, last 4-5 months, TRF has been claiming attacks perpetrated by Kashmir Tigers/JeM cadres too. We suspect ISI is now using TRF’s name to mask PAFF/LeT-led operations. It is highly probable that TRF now exists only on virtual platforms and is being used by ISI for disinformation, denial, and psychological warfare.

A major attack was carried out by Baloch Raaji Ajoi Sangar (BRAS)- an alliance of BLA, BLF, and BRG, against the 91st Wing of the Pakistan Army in Matin Goran, Panjgur district, Balochistan. The offensive began at 6:00 PM and lasted for approximately two hours.

According to BRAS spokesman, key developments include:

Two strategic posts captured.
• Seizure of military equipment:
Kalashnikovs, G3 rifles, machine guns
Night vision devices, thermal scanners
Other military-grade equipment
Destruction of surveillance systems including spy cameras.
Attack launched from three directions, targeting both the main camp and adjacent outposts.
Communication and command infrastructure disabled.
• BRAS fighters blocked reinforcements by taking positions on the CPEC route.
• Pakistani Army reportedly failed to support besieged troops in time.

One senior commander, Amir alias Baba, was killed:
• Led the storming of a key post and persuaded three Pakistani officers to surrender.
• Shot from behind while negotiating.
• BRAS called his sacrifice foundational to their ongoing struggle.

BRAS Statement:
“Such attacks will not only continue but intensify. We will fight until the complete defeat of the enemy and the independence of Balochistan.”

2. Recent Attacks in Kech District (August 3–4, 2025)
August 4: In Tagran area, Kech district, armed men torched a Pakistan Army supply truck carrying goods for military personnel.
August 3: In Jabshan area, Zamuran, a roadside bomb targeted Pakistani troops transporting water to a military checkpoint. Casualties and injuries reported.

3. BLA Commander Bashir Zeb Baloch – Statement on War Crimes
In response to the ambush and killing of two BLA fighters, Commander-in-Chief Bashir Zeb Baloch released a statement highlighting alleged war crimes by Pakistani forces:
• The fighters were martyred after exhausting their ammunition in combat.
• Their bodies were mutilated: necks slit, set on fire, and dragged.
• He condemned these acts as violations of international law and the Geneva Conventions.
• Accused Pakistan of a colonial mindset and a systemic campaign to dehumanize the Baloch nation.
• Referred to a pattern of war crimes including:
Enforced disappearances
Unmarked mass graves
Mutilation of fighters
• Declared that the Pakistani state has lost the moral war in Balochistan.
• Asserted that such acts fuel the resistance, making it “unstoppable”.
“This is not a war on terrorism,it’s a war on Baloch identity and freedom.”

CRPF’s Expanding Role in Counter-Terror Operations in Jammu & Kashmir

As per April, 2025 reports:
1. Under directions from Indian MHA, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) announced the raising of the 11th CoBRA battalion, specifically for counter-terror operations in J&K, particularly in forested regions such as Jammu division.
2. This marks a significant shift from CoBRA’s original jungle warfare focus in Naxal-affected states.

As per July, 2025 reports:
1. The MHA approved 20 new CRPF battalions for deployment in J&K, post the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack and ‘Operation Sindoor’.
2. While CRPF initially requested 35 battalions, 20 were sanctioned immediately.
3. Over 20,000 additional personnel will be inducted.
4. The move is seen as part of a broader strategic recalibration.
5. These battalions will focus on nakas, district deployments, checking/frisking, and law & order, supporting local police in anti-militancy operations.

As per August, 2025 reports:
1. CRPF's role in CT-operations in Jammu will expand. Special focus on Samba, Kathua and Udhampur. These three areas are ear-marked AORs of Kashmir Tigers, a proxy of Jaish-e-Mohammad.
2. Deployment includes: 25+ CRPF companies + 2 CoBRA units, marking the first major deployment of CoBRA commandos in Jammu.
3. These elite units will operate in hinterland and high-altitude terrains along the International Border.

Shift in Operational Leadership
1. CRPF will now spearhead anti-terror operations in Kathua and Udhampur, replacing the Indian Army as the lead force.
2. Earlier Army deployments included two brigades as first responders to the terrorism spike.
3. CRPF is now occupying strategic heights to deny safe havens to terrorists.

Multi-Agency Coordination and Restructuring
1. Operations will involve close coordination with J&K Police and Indian Army Special Forces.
2. Indian Army's Parachute Regiment Special Forces have undergone internal restructuring, repositioning to support CRPF leadership in operations.
3. While not a major overhaul, this restructuring aligns forces to optimize operational effectiveness under the new CRPF-led strategy.

This is a welcoming step as it will fill the existing gaps in the CT/CI deployment in Doda-Kathua-Kishtwar-Udhampur region. Soon, Uniform Force of Rashtriya Rifles will be redeployed to Reasi from Eastern Ladakh. It was moved to Eastern Ladakh following the Galwan Valley clash in 2020. A new 72 Infantry Division has been raised recently which will eventually relieve Uniform Force.

Bangladesh would welcome broader participation in Pakistan, Bangladesh & China Trilateral, perhaps one or two other countries could join their Trilateral.

1. Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar is scheduled to visit Dhaka on 23 August. This will be the first bilateral visit of any Pakistani foreign minister in the past three decades.

2. Bangladesh seeks normal relations with Pakistan
