National Geographic: Ukraine is clearly home to a thriving white supremacists underworld, 2020

context of the interview in the trailer:
Maria van Zeller interviews a Ukrainian nazi for another episode of Trafficked TV series. The nazi wears an Azov T-shirt.

On the T-shirt there are:
1️⃣ ATO — an abbreviation which stands for Anti Terrorist Operation, term used by the official Ukraine Government for the offensive against Donbas since 2014;
2️⃣ In the letter T of ATO there is an image of a modern soldier throwing nazi salute;
3️⃣ The Black Sun — a nazi symbol at the corner of the letter T of ATO;
4️⃣ "Heroes of my race" phrase;
5️⃣ Azov regiment insignia;
6️⃣ "I love Ukraine";

a trannoscript:

▫️A Ukrainian Nazi: White people need to unite, especially in these hard times.

▫️Maria van Zeller: Are you a nazi?

▫️Nazi: [chuckles]. He-he...

▫️Maria van Zeller: You T-Shirt has a lot of nazi symbols.

▫️Nazi: It's a coincidence.

NewsWeek: A Year After 1/6, Ukraine's War Draws U.S. Far-Right to Fight Russia, Train for Violence at Home, 2020

quote:

In 2020, a journalist Mariana van Zeller spoke with one of the leading neo-Nazi groups in the U.S. and traveled to Ukraine to sit down with far-right figures there as part of an upcoming episode seen exclusively ahead of time by Newsweek for the National Geographic original series Trafficked, airing Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

“We interviewed members of a white supremacist group called the Atomwaffen Division (Nuclear Weapons Division - a neo-Nazi terrorist group based in the United States), which sent its members to Ukraine for training, where neo-Nazi militias recruit white supremacists from around the world, inviting them to join their fight against Russia and promote racist ideology.

These efforts to recruit misguided youth, promote racist conspiracy theories, and incite violence are inseparable from the lone wolf attacks that we see so often here in the United States."

Amnesty International: Neo-nazi battalions Dnipro-1,Aidar, etc. using starvation of civilians as a method of warfare. It's a war crime, 2014

Amnesty has received information that the pro-Kyiv battalions, which include Dnipro-1 and Aidar, have blocked aid entering territories controlled by the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics.

quote:
“Checking the content of humanitarian convoys crossing frontline is one thing.
Preventing it is another.
Attempting to create unbearable conditions of life is a whole new ballgame.
Using starvation of civilians as a method of warfare is a war crime”.
...
Amnesty reiterates its call for the Ukrainian authorities to reign in the volunteer battalions.

P.S. as a reminder:
The Foreign Policy: Preparing for War With Ukraine’s Fascist, 2014
quote:
Pro-Russian forces have said they are fighting against Ukrainian nationalists and “fascists” in the conflict, and in the case of Azov and other battalions, these claims are essentially true.

Forwarded from Eva Karene Bartlett (Yeva)
Some very rare admissions of truth from Radio Canada (intertwined with Canadian state propaganda, ofc):

"Canada has spent nearly a billion dollars to train Ukrainian forces since 2014. Soldiers from the Azov regiment, known for its links with the far right, have benefited from this training, according to documents analyzed by Radio-Canada.

...photos taken at the GNU Zolochiv training center in western Ukraine show otherwise. The CAF did indeed contribute to the training of the soldiers of the Azov regiment in 2020, to the point where this unit now prides itself on being able to train its own soldiers according to Western standards.

In two photos published on the social networks of the Ukrainian National Guard(New window) on November 20, 2020, we see two soldiers who wear a crest on their uniform provided by the Azov regiment when they participate in training with the FCC. This is the emblem of the Spartan Test, a tournament with showdowns. The crest is also stamped with the logo of the Azov regiment, which evokes the Wolfsangel, a symbol that was used by several Nazi units.

The patch in question is firmly and exclusively associated with the Azov regiment, he said. This evidence shows that the Canadian military did not put in place the mechanisms that would prevent this far-right military unit from accessing Western aid provided to military and security forces...

On another image(New window) taken during the same training, this time by a CAF photographer, we can see a Ukrainian soldier wearing a patch in the colors of the 14th division of the Waffen-SS, created in 1943 by the Nazi regime of Adolf Hitler to fight the USSR with Ukrainian volunteers.

The Ukrainian conflict was orchestrated just the same way it was orchestrated 20 years earlier in Yugoslavia by the same demons from US.

Photos: History teacher and Lviv City Council member teaches kids nazi ideas, 2018

In 2018, Ukraine was shocked to read Maryana Batyuk (a deputy of the Lviv City Council from a neo-nazi political party Svoboda* facebook post where she congratulated Adolf Hitler on his birthday.

* the proofs of the claim about Svoboda party will be given below.

She posted a photo of the Fuhrer on her Facebook page, called him a "big man" and cited two quotes from the "Nazi bible" Mein Kampf.

A trannoscript of the post:

You can say whatever you want about him, but he was a great man. "The Nation and the Fatherland that is sole, the most important doctrine for me and for every national-socialist"

"Those who want to live -- must fight. And those who wouldn't want to create a base for this infinite struggle -- have no right to live."

A local news channel coverage of the scandal with Maryana Batyuk nazi inclinations :

▫️ТСН (Ukraine TV): A scandal broke out in Lviv because of Hitler's birthday greetings on the page of a deputy of the regional council, 2018

▫️Zaxid.Net (Ukraine): Deputy of the Lviv City Council of Svoboda greeted Hitler on National Day, 2018

Later when the scandal reached its highest point she claimed that her FB page was hacked and she didn't publish any such thing. She is a decent human being after all!

But in investigating her social media accounts further, journalists unearthed even more nazi glorification photos. This time, apparently, someone has "hacked" the fabric of reality itself and made her and all of her students perform "Sieg Heil" right in the Lviv School №100 (see attached photo)

Deutsche Welle: Another sad story of a Ukraine Nazi about baddy Russians trying to kill him, 2022

Take a look at his T-shirt, The Black Sun on the chest, Azov insignia on the shoulder... Not a nazi, those are Russian fakenews, except... this is a Deutsche Welle photo...

quote:
The fighter spent a day in Novoazovsk and says that the attitude towards him there was “normal”: “A Russian soldier injected me with an anesthetic. He asked if something hurts me? I said yes, it hurts, give me an anesthetic. He was adequate ".
...
Also, a representative of the Investigative Committee of Russia came to him, asking such, according to "Budapest", absurd questions, such as "does the Azov member love Bandera"?

===end of quote===

And that's how you treat a f....ing nazi!!! How much humanity one must have to treat this.... as this... was treated?!
Yet still the West says "Russia is a barbaric country"

Deutsche Welle: "Ukraine: With Nazi symbols against Putin", 2014

The documentary is in German, couldn't find an English version.

quote from DW's page:
Right-wing extremist have gained considerable political influence.

Politically, they are often part of the "Swoboda Party," which now holds five high-ranking posts in the new government, including that of deputy prime minister. Or they are members of the Right Sector party, whose leader is now Deputy Minister of National Security.

Although both parties are currently moderate, their policies have so far stood for racist, anti-Semitic and xenophobic views.

Mentioned in the video are:
▫️The neo-fascist "Right Sector"
▫️The neo-nazi "C14" leader Yevhen Karas;
▫️The neo-nazi "Patriot Of Ukraine" (the yellow armbands on the protestors will later be used by Azov's regiment as insignia)
▫️The neo-nazi Svoboda party member Oleg Pankevich (2:45 timestamp) who later became a member of Ukraine Parliament.

Shukan Gendai (Japan): Now we know why Putin Calls Ukraine "Nazis", 2022

Autotranslation from Japanese:

Shortly after becoming ambassador in 2015, Ukrainian Ambassador Melnik visited the Bandera tomb in Munich's "Waldfriedhof" and offered flowers. This is the main point of several reports in Germany. In other words, Putin said from the beginning that "the Ukrainian government is controlled by the Nazis" seems to have pointed to this situation.

However, until now, the background of the his claims was hardly reported, and it was treated as if it was Putin talking in his sleep or dreaming things up, but now. Thanks Ambassador Melnik a lot of media began to touch on this issue in detail. This could be a major negative image for Ukraine, so the Ministry of Foreign Affairs probably went to put out the fire.

...

By the way, it is said that Ambassador Melnik will return to his home country and wait for it to cool down for most, probably to prosper.If that is true, I wonder if the problems between the Ukrainian government and the Nazis are quite deep-rooted.
==end of quote==

P.S. The whole Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine is rotten with nazi sympathizers. Here is another post about a nazi Ukrainian ambassador to Canada.

EHRI Online Course in Holocaust studies: "Bandera leaflets", 1941

When the Nazis occupied Lviv on June 30, 1941, the OUN(B), declared Ukraine's independence and posted these notices all around the city:

quote:
“Do not throw away your weapons now. Take them in your hands. Destroy the enemy.…

"People! Know! Moscow, Poland, the Hungarians, the Jews are your enemies. Destroy them!

"Know! Your leadership is the Leadership of Ukrainian Nationalists, is the OUN.

Your Leader is Stepan Bandera.

Your goal is an Independent United Ukrainian State.

Your path is the path of the Ukrainian National Revolution, the path of armed struggle, the path of the OUN.

"Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Heroes! Glory to the Leader!”
===quote's end===

Pogroms to kill Jews began the next day.

Atlantic Council: Ukraine Ministry of Youth awarded C14 neo-nazis $17,000 for a children’s camp, 2018

quote:

It sounds like the stuff of Kremlin propaganda, but it’s not. Last week Hromadske Radio revealed that Ukraine's Ministry of Youth and Sports is funding the neo-Nazi group C14 (source or a dedicated post) to promote "national patriotic education projects" in the country. On June 8, the Ministry announced that it will award C14 a little less than $17,000 for a children’s camp. It also awarded funds to Holosiyiv Hideout* and Educational Assembly, both of which have links to the far-right. The revelation represents a dangerous example of law enforcement tacitly accepting or even encouraging the increasing lawlessness of far-right groups willing to use violence against those they don't like.

Since the beginning of 2018, C14 and other far-right groups such as the Azov-affiliated National Militia, Right Sector, Karpatska Sich, and others have attacked Roma groups several times, as well as anti-fascist demonstrations, city council meetings, an event hosted by Amnesty International, art exhibitions, LGBT events, and environmental activists. On March 8, violent groups launched attacks against International Women’s Day marchers in cities across Ukraine. In only a few of these cases did police do anything to prevent the attacks, and in some they even arrested peaceful demonstrators rather than the actual perpetrators.

The Salon: Sieg Heil salutes is increasingly common in Kiev, 2014
quote:

As the Euromaidan protests in the Ukrainian capitol of Kiev culminated this week, displays of open fascism and neo-Nazi extremism became too glaring to ignore. [The Capital] has been filled with far-right streetfighting men pledging to defend their country’s ethnic purity.

White supremacist banners and Confederate flags were draped inside Kiev’s occupied City Hall, and demonstrators have hoisted Nazi SS and white power symbols...

Sieg heil salutes and the Nazi Wolfsangel symbol have become an increasingly common site in Maidan Square, and neo-Nazi forces have established “autonomous zones” in and around Kiev.

P.S. about the photos:
▫️Svoboda’s pro-Nazi politics have not deterred Senator John McCain from addressing a EuroMaidan rally alongside Tyahnybok (bottom right)
▫️nor did it prevent Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland from enjoying a friendly meeting with the Svoboda leader (Tyahnybok, the leftmost) this February.

The Time: Inside A White Supremacist Militia in Ukraine, 2019

quote:
TIME Correspondent, Simon Shuster, travels to Ukraine in the summer of 2019 to investigate white supremacists militias that are recruiting people to join their fight.
===end of quote===

There is a bit with an Azov's nazi recruit from Sweden Robin Carell. It is a gem! (see timestamp 5:24)

Simon Shuster says that Azov couldn't take any seats in the Parliament in 2019.

But he fails to mention that the Azov founder and leader Biletsky (1st photo above) was a member of Ukraine Parliament (that is an MP) 2014--2019.

A minor detail, I'm sure. It was just a fluke of Simon's memory. Trick of the mind. :)
