Ruling of Fasting the Six Days of Shawwāl Before the Qaḍāʾ of Ramaḍān – Sheikh Ibn Bāz

"It’s obligatory to give precedence to the Qaḍāʾ because it is of greater importance and the Prophet ﷺ  said, “Whoever fasts Ramaḍān, then, follows it up with (fasting) the six days of Shawwāl”

So, The women who fasted the six before completing (the Qaḍāʾ of) Ramdan didn’t follow it up; she must start (making it up).

(Likewise) The man also starts with the Qaḍāʾ of Ramaḍān then he fasts the six."

30+6=1 year

one who fasted during the month of Ramaḍān and then fasted 6 days of Shawwal is like one who fasted the Whole Year.

As the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ Said: “Whoever fasted in Ramaḍān, and then Fasted for 6 days of Shawwal, will have a Year of fasting Recorded for him.”

(Sahih Muslim 1164)

Umar Ibn Al-Khattab رضى الله عنه said:

“No matter how much guilt you feel, the past will not change, and no matter how worried you feel, the future will not change.

Go easy because the outcome of all affairs is determined by the Decree of ALLĀH ﷻ.

If something is destined to go elsewhere, it will never get in your way, but if something is yours by destiny, it will not be able to run away from you (nor can you run away from it)”.

When Death approaches any of them, they Cry, “My Lord! Let me go back, So I may do Good in what I left Behind.”

Never! It is only a Useless appeal they make. And there is a barrier behind them until the Day they are Resurrected.

The penalty for flaunting one's self is so great that while striving to impress Creation, one falls out in the sight of Creator, the lord of Honor.

May ALLĀH ﷻ Protect us from Show-off and Grant us Sincerity in All our Actions, Allāhumma Aāmeen.

An Advice To Sister's Who Aren’t Married, And To Men Responsible Over Her...!!

Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ Said:

I advise women in regard to marriage not to choose any man except one who has faith and character.

I advise women not to be hasty in accepting the one who asks for her hand until every aspect of him has been explored.

Fatwa’ Noor ‘Alaa ad-Darb, 10/31

+ It’s important to note that for you sisters, you will not be able to correctly judge another man by yourself, especially if it’s a man who you are interested in.

Imām Ibn Al-Qayyim رحمه الله stated:

"Following the desires blinds the eye of the heart."

Al-Fawāid 101

Leave this Task to your Wali Who’s Responsible over You, if they however Judge him Incorrectly or Refuse him Without a Valid Reason, take your case to a Judge.

An Advice To Brother's Who Are Married, And To Brother's Who Are Thinking Of Marriage

Ibn Aqeel stated:

When the wise man is alone with his wife, he should then leave his intellect in a corner as a respected shaykh and (start) joking and fooling around with her to give her and her soul it's rights. And when he is alone with his children, then he should come to them in their shape (act like them, be like them, etc.)

Ramaḍān Had Ended Not Too Long Ago…

When was the last time you made Dua asking ALLĀH ﷻ to Accept your deeds from this most recent Ramaḍān?

How easy is it, that our hearts become distracted from asking for the acceptance of deeds that are so great in Magnitude!

If it had been a case where we’d receive endless amount of money if we made dua every single day for a year, none of us would fail to complete this task.

But aren’t our deeds greater than endless money in this Duniya? Where is our Aspiration?

Life Is Like A Bad Woman

Ibn al-Jawzi Said:

“Life is like a bad woman. She will never be loyal to her husband and chasing her is no good.”

Al-Mushash p.270

Life is never going to be loyal to you, and chasing it is no good, it’s better to think of life as either a bad woman or man, to help you put it into perspective.

Advice Of Imam Abu Hanifa

Imam Abu Hanifah’s advice to his student:

“Don’t get married until after knowing that you’ll be able to take care of all its needs.

Seek knowledge first, then gather wealth from that which is halal, and then get married!”
