After weeks of assaults on Rabotino, the Armed Forces of Ukraine suffered significant losses without occupying the settlement. The RF Armed Forces still control the southern outskirts and the surrounding heights. As we said earlier, under such conditions, it is futile to continue the assault, or it is associated with heavy losses. Therefore, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine decided, with the help of units that had previously stormed Rabotino (and this is mainly the 82nd brigade), to increase the pressure on the line of heights controlled by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and towards Verbovoye. Today's reports of heavy fighting near Verbovoye are connected with this, the Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to take some positions in the fields and approach the settlement, after which they came under artillery strikes. In the future, we expect the continuation of intense attacks in this direction, but the pressure on Rabotino will decrease in the future.

The Russian Armed Forces have now held the line at the tiny glorified farmstead called Rabotino for a longer time than the AFU managed to defend the large urban fortress of Mariupol, including the siege of the Azovstal citadel.

According to the Financial Times, the EU has imported a record volume of liquefied natural gas from Russia.

The NGO Global Witness analyzed industry data for the first 7 months of this year and found that China, Belgium, and Spain were the top buyers of Russian LNG.

Overall imports have increased by 40 percent compared to the same period in 2021, prior to the commencement of the SMO and the imposition of additional sanctions.

The value of LNG imported between January and July, based on spot market prices, was €5.29 billion.

🇬🇧🇺🇦The battle for Rabotino and Verbove on the Zaporozhye front continues

The direction of the main attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: the Orekhovsky section of the Zaporozhye Front.

▫️The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine does not stop throwing units of the 82nd Airborne Brigade, 47th and 65th Brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard into attacks.
▫️Today, like yesterday, enemy assault groups, supported by artillery, again attacked our positions at the Rabotino-Verbove line.
▫️The enemy continues to actively use cluster munitions, using shelling, trying to squeeze out our troops.
▫️Near Verbovoe, the enemy is advancing in small groups of up to 15 militants lately, almost always without armored vehicles, leaving attack aircraft to slaughter.
▫️Verbove itself is under the control of the Russian army, in its vicinity there are literally mountains of corpses of AFU militants.
▫️Several pieces of enemy equipment that brought assault groups to the landings were hit by our artillery fire at a distance.
▫️During the night, 2 assault groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who tried to break through on the outskirts of Verbove, were completely destroyed, Governor Balitsky previously reported. In the morning and afternoon, several more assault groups were defeated.

▫️ Fierce battles for the village of Rabotino also continue, the southeastern part is still held by our marines and infantry, the enemy has not been able to advance here for several weeks. We will inform you more about the battles for Rabotino in a new summary.

This - refoulment of refugees into danger - is a violation of the UN Convention Against Torture and the UN Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees.

Interesting note: although I’m aware Mediazona’s confirmed Russian loss counter isn’t totally accurate, but going by their numbers Russia has been incurring very few casualties over the last 3 months compared to most of the conflict.

Russia suffering GWOT scale losses right now if Mediazona is accurate - while Ukraine is losing their third corps earmarked for the Spring-Summer 2023 offensive. Now the Fall 2023 offensive!

The modest damage on the two damaged Il-76s suggest relatively small drones were used. Again suggesting an attack from Estonia or Latvia.

The fact the Russians have yet to release an official statement on the attack is highly significant and quite worrying.

Evaluating readily-available candidates for the attack in Pskov, Switchblade 600s fired cross-border from Latvia or Estonia seem like the most probable candidates to me. This wasn't some gimmick attack with cheap drones, they intended to destroy every aircraft at that base and fired enough munitions to do it.
