Pride… to be Proud of who you are … what a ridiculous concept.

You should be proud of the efforts made; what you’ve accomplished, what services you’ve provided, and what beautiful things you’ve built.

But why should anyone be Proud of the inherent act of “being” ? You can be amazed by it, perplexed, confused, accepting, appreciated, or dismayed etc… but to be Proud by merely existing?

You should be mutually respected… but there is no room for Pride and particularly not as a Right.

No one is owed anything in this life… not even Respect but in the nature of Civility at least general respect should be offered.

When someone says “I’m proud of you” they aren’t addressing “you” as a simple being that exists and lives and breathes, they are speaking to your Soul and Will and what that has accomplished and expressed through experience and effort.
Sweat Equity.

I think we should never be proud of what we are… Pride is reserved for the Efforts … for the loss and pain and failures that come with getting anywhere in life. An even then it should only be a momentary state of self-Appreciation as one reflects upon their efforts. Pride is not an inherent concept and is not given away freely like some cheap commodity nor can it even be owned or held onto for any significant length of time.

For there to even be the advertisement of Pride as an inherent quality of being, seems to me, to be an unhealthy distortion.

It’s such an example of “toxic positivity” like “oh yeah, everyone should be able to feel proud of who they are and accepted and.. “ blah blah blah….

Umm … no… you f*ck’n shouldn’t..

You should have to make a constant effort in every moment of every day to mindfully sculpt who you are and the capabilities you have. No one starts out as anything special…sure, perhaps there is a Soul there and an ancestral memory; a sort of innate instinct that differentiates us all but even that is nothing to be “proud” of…

Fear and Pride/EGO may as well be Demons in and of themselves right next to the Devil and his angels

… Actually… that’s exactly how they are defined in Buddhist philosophy.. the daughters and demons of the Realm of Mara(Illusion) which must be confronted with indifference as to not allow them to possess you

Another random thought/ summation:

The interplay of Ignorance and Fear is like a process that erodes the Soul

Ignorance makes us susceptible to Fear, and Fear dulls us to the point where we no longer even have the potential to be a Weapon and instead become Tools for others to attempt to possess and wield for their own aims.

So the biblical concept of “Fear Not” and the general philosophical concept of being Mindful rather than Ignorant/Mindless are Keys which grant access to the Armor -being the the perceptional/ conscious/ spiritual state of an individual that acts as a defense against forces which would seek to possess you and make you into a tool to be used by others.

And then finally, a remaining ingredient would be the Sense of Appreciation that we modern human beings often lose touch with as the conditions of societal existence and narratives/ spells erode the security of our Souls making us “in-secure”/ open/ vulnerable

Ye though I walk through the valley of death I will HAVE NO FEAR as the Lord is my Shepard his rod and staff guide me.

And then I guess that circles back to the concept of the Hegelian Dialectic being the artificial process of “opening” the minds of individuals, making them vulnerable to then provide the nefarious/ insidious “guidance”

They are hi-jacking a natural process of growth; making an artificial version of it by utilizing narratives/ spells to advertise & broadcast this “system”

Yep that is what I was getting at on Friday that the newly awake want there to be a nefarious all powerful foe and the market place provides the impression of one

Yes and that imaginary all-powerful foe allows the individual to skirt around the concept of taking responsibility for one’s own perception and resulting decisions and actions.

The reason for why "HOW COULD I BE SO DUMB"

And then at that step in the process of growth, the individual must find Forgiveness

The ability to Forgive One’s Self

Not to make excuses for one’s self but to to truly Forgive from a state of newfound awareness

To look back at what you were and allow that to “die” in sense… so that you can be renewed and exist without the weight of the past. Not ignoring…. Not ignorance… but acceptance and integration

NO it is the art of incorporating the dumbass the monster teh saint and the hero into the Human we actually are

Yes, not to “die” but to allow the sense of possession by that singular aspect to die or fade. To truly take back Self-Control

And so Self-Control requires a “Wholistic” View

To no longer be passionately driven/ possessed and instead, integrated with an encompassing “compassionate” perspective
Forwarded from Deleted Account
And that may be a common misinterpretation of Buddhist/ Pali concept of being “dispassionate” but perhaps more accurate would be to say “compassionate”

The words “indifference” and “dispassion” sort of paint a sociopathic picture and so in philosophical circles the Buddhist Philosophy is humorously criticized as being the practice of becoming a “sociopath” but even that word is a recent invention and convolution of translation and definition
