The traditional village of Syrrako in Greece. With such dense buildings it seems that it is medieval, but most of what we see arose after 1821 - during the Greek War of Independence only 5 buildings in the entire village were not damaged.

How a taxi used to work in 1943
Imagine this, taxi cars were fully electric and there were specific service stops where the taxi driver would stop, they take apart certain things, take out the battery, put in a replacement battery, and in 5 minutes the taxi driver moves on.
When next car arrives at the service stop, the battery would be full and handed over to another taxi driver.

It’s funny, I was banned from everything but never banned for breaking the rules. I don’t N post, etc. I was always banned for who I am in real life. Which I’m proud of, of course.
Let’s all enjoy watching these people get banned for breaking well known, stated, and consistently enforced rules like not labeling impersonation accounts as “satire/parody”. Even the most obvious joke accounts on Twitter do this because everyone knows you have to.
Yes, they’ll be back and yes it’s done on purpose to generate outrage headlines against Elon. But losing their account still scares these people. They are not like us. So enjoy.

Maybe there's hope for Austin after all. But these cities better be on their guard:
...a list of places that are what Austin used to be to him before he moved here from New York. It read, 'Pittsburgh, Durham, Boise, Columbus, Jackson Hole, Chattanooga.'

How many kinds of apples are grown around the world?
7,500
When you buy apples from a grocery store or pick them at an orchard, you probably have a few options, which may include Red Delicious, Granny Smith, Gala, Fuji, Honeycrisp, or McIntosh. But it turns out, those are just a few of the 7,500 different varieties of apples that exist, according to the University of Illinois. Around 2,500 varieties are grown in the United States alone, although only 100 are produced commercially.

In the wake of fresh revelations that the DHS has been working relentlessly to shut down speech it deems to be ‘dangerous’ or ‘disinformation,’ Senator Rand Paul has promised to introduce legislation that would make it illegal for government agencies and private big tech to secretly collude on such enterprises.

The Atomic Bomb Dome, Japan
Originally the Hiroshima Prefectural Industrial Promotion Hall, the building and its distinctive dome were designed by Czech architect Jan Letzel in 1915. Because the bomb detonated almost directly above the building, the vertical support columns were able to withstand the impact of the blast; the ruins of the building were eventually converted into a memorial to those killed in the blast.
