The history of secret Human Experiments in the United States.

Part 1

▪️1931. Dr. Cornelius Rhoades, under the auspices of the Rockefeller Institute for Medical Research, infects people with cancer cells. Later he sets up U.S. Army biological warfare facilities in Maryland, Utah and Panama, and his name was placed on the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission. While there, he begins a series of experiments to irradiate American soldiers and civilian hospital patients.

▪️1932. Beginning of syphilis research in Tuskegee. 200 black men diagnosed with syphilis are never informed of their disease, denied treatment and instead used as guinea pigs to monitor the progression and symptoms of the disease. All of them subsequently die of syphilis.

Should we announce the second part?

The history of secret Human Experiments in the United States.

Part 2 (read part 1)

▪️1935. The Pellagra Incident. After millions of people have been dying of pellagra for two decades, the U.S. Public Health Service is finally taking action against the disease. The agency's director admits that he has known for at least 20 years that pellagra is caused by niacin deficiency, but has taken no action because most of the deaths have occurred among the black poor.

▪️1940. 400 prisoners in Chicago infected with malaria to study the effects of new and experimental drugs.
Nazi doctors, who were later put on trial at Nuremberg, cite this American study to defend their actions during the Holocaust.

And that's not all, wait for part 3...

St. Edmund, king of East Anglia, met his death in 869 during the invasion of the pagan Danish armies into Britain. According to tradition, he refused the Danes’ demand that he renounce Christ. The Danes beat him, shot him with arrows and then beheaded him. St. Edmund was the patron saint of England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 until replaced by St. George in the Middle Ages.

TIL you shouldn’t eat more than 5 Brazil nuts in a day. They contain selenium, which can cause gastrointestinal problems, brittle hair and nails, joint pain, and tiredness. In large amounts, it can cause kidney failure, heart failure, and heart attacks.

🇺🇸 2-wheeled sideshow blocks SF-bound traffic on Bay Bridge Sun afternoon. “About 75-100 bikers swarmed cars from behind, some riding on their back wheels only, then proceeded to arrange in a solid line across all lanes before slowing down & stopping altogether,” witness tells.

"More crucial than the act of rational thinking is the act of truth-telling. Having the courage to question a narrative that is fanatically believed by society – that is what the act of truth-telling has consisted of since time immemorial. The first characteristic of truth speech therefore is this: if you try to practice it, you will be resisted by the world of appearances. And people might get mad at you. Sometimes very mad. The ancient Greeks knew it very well: one pays a price for speaking the Truth. Yet on the other hand, you also get something in return, something that is more important than anything that can be lost."

TIL that most blackboards are actually green because boards that were black tended to reflect a lot of light, while green boards reduced glare and were favored by teachers who had to stare at them all day.

❗️🇷🇺🇺🇸🏴‍☠️ For the second year in a row, the United States has banned Russian diplomats from laying wreaths at the Spirit of the Elbe memorial plaque at Arlington Cemetery.

This was stated by Ambassador Anatoly Antonov, recalling that last December our diplomats were not allowed to visit the Fort Richardson National Cemetery in Anchorage:

“It is becoming increasingly difficult for us to reach out to official Washington regarding the importance of preserving the memory and working together to perpetuate the heroes of those times. Such an attitude is insulting not only for the veterans of the two countries, but also for everyone who remembers their great feat.”

‼️Today, April 25, marks the 78th anniversary of the historic meeting of Soviet and American troops on the Elbe River.

The Church of the Sacred Heart on Mount Tibidabo

Perched at the top of Mount Tibidabo, the Church of the Sacred Heart rewards visitors with exceptional views of Barcelona and the surrounding countryside.

The origins of the church date back to 1886 when a small hermitage was built on the site by John Bosco, an Italian priest who was canonised in 1934.
