🇺🇸 2-wheeled sideshow blocks SF-bound traffic on Bay Bridge Sun afternoon. “About 75-100 bikers swarmed cars from behind, some riding on their back wheels only, then proceeded to arrange in a solid line across all lanes before slowing down & stopping altogether,” witness tells.

"More crucial than the act of rational thinking is the act of truth-telling. Having the courage to question a narrative that is fanatically believed by society – that is what the act of truth-telling has consisted of since time immemorial. The first characteristic of truth speech therefore is this: if you try to practice it, you will be resisted by the world of appearances. And people might get mad at you. Sometimes very mad. The ancient Greeks knew it very well: one pays a price for speaking the Truth. Yet on the other hand, you also get something in return, something that is more important than anything that can be lost."

TIL that most blackboards are actually green because boards that were black tended to reflect a lot of light, while green boards reduced glare and were favored by teachers who had to stare at them all day.

❗️🇷🇺🇺🇸🏴☠️ For the second year in a row, the United States has banned Russian diplomats from laying wreaths at the Spirit of the Elbe memorial plaque at Arlington Cemetery.
This was stated by Ambassador Anatoly Antonov, recalling that last December our diplomats were not allowed to visit the Fort Richardson National Cemetery in Anchorage:
“It is becoming increasingly difficult for us to reach out to official Washington regarding the importance of preserving the memory and working together to perpetuate the heroes of those times. Such an attitude is insulting not only for the veterans of the two countries, but also for everyone who remembers their great feat.”
‼️Today, April 25, marks the 78th anniversary of the historic meeting of Soviet and American troops on the Elbe River.

The Church of the Sacred Heart on Mount Tibidabo
Perched at the top of Mount Tibidabo, the Church of the Sacred Heart rewards visitors with exceptional views of Barcelona and the surrounding countryside.
The origins of the church date back to 1886 when a small hermitage was built on the site by John Bosco, an Italian priest who was canonised in 1934.

When I was an 18 year old edgelord, I used to come up with ridiculous Eric Cartmen style plans to deal with society's problems, and by odd coincidence, every last one of them came true. I can only imagine visiting myself in the past and explaining 2023.
>"We should legalize drugs, but poison every 20th batch so I don't have to deal with crackheads."
>Yeah, Libtards did it.
>"Wut?"
>Yeah, San Fransisco, Portland, etc. All legal, free needles, but it's frequently spiked with lethal doses of Fentanyl to kill them off.
>"What if we took low tier men and fed them a steady diet of gay porn, but TOLD them it wasn't gay because reasons, until their taste changed and it removed them from the gene pool?"
>Libtards did it.
>"No way."
>Yes way
>"What if we removed single moms from the gene pool by telling them their children would be happier, healthier, and more well behaved if they had them spayed and neutered?"
>.....
>"Why are you smiling?"

Mars has two moons, Phobos and Deimos. The two potato-shaped objects have puzzled planetary scientists for a long time. What is their origin? Are they captured asteroids or were they once part of the Red Planet, like the Moon was part of ours? Now, the closest images ever taken of Deimos appear to indicate the latter.
The Emirates Mars Mission's Hope Probe has been studying the Red Planet for several years when last summer it undertook a course correction to slightly change its target of focus from Mars to Deimos, the planet’s smaller and outermost moon. Several flybys took the probe as close to Deimos as 100 kilometers (61 miles), the closest humans have ever been to the small rocky body.

Replica of ancient era of locks and keys
This lock was a wooden pin lock, where pins within the lock are lifted out of holes using a key, allowing the lock to move and open.
The keys for these locks often looked like large wooden toothbrushes, with pegs corresponding to the pins that needed to be lifted in order to open the lock.
This style of wooden pin lock was commonly used in ancient Egypt to safeguard valuables and doors to places of religious significance, helping eliminate the need for stationed guards at doorways.
