Did you know that the guy who covered Germany's Reichstag was Bulgarian?
On June 13th, Bulgarian State media commemorated Christo's 90th birthday. Born in 1935 in Gabrovo to a chemist father and an art‑enthusiast mother, he studied at Sofia’s National Academy of Art before launching an iconic international career in land art and environmental sculpture.
He gained renown transforming public spaces into ephemeral art.
