—NOTE: The student movement in Serbia began in late 2024 as a reaction to the collapse of a train station roof in Novi Sad, an event that resulted in multiple casualties and sparked widespread concern over corruption and public safety. Initially centered around demands for accountability, improved infrastructure oversight, and increased education funding, the protests were led by university students who organized through democratic plenaries and occupied faculties in Belgrade and other cities. What started as a student-led initiative has since expanded far beyond the academic sphere: farmers, lawyers, artists, medical professionals, and workers from various sectors have joined in. The movement, while still led by students, has grown into a broad, nationwide mobilization calling for structural reforms, institutional transparency, and early elections.

At least 18 key intersections and arteries are blocked, including all major access points to the city center, bridges over the Sava and Danube Rivers, and segments of the main southbound highway (Autoput za Niš).
The blockade pattern effectively divides the city into multiple isolated zones, crippling logistical movement between Zemun, Novi Beograd, Stari Grad, Voždovac, and central government zones near the Belgrade Fortress and administrative core.
Belgrade’s urban layout—non-grid, decentralized, and with limited rapid deployment corridors—does not favor regime countermeasures in the event of urban unrest. If hostile actors hold these chokepoints, the central government may find itself encircled and tactically immobilized.
Conclusion: Based on current mobility data, the Serbian regime appears to be in a state of acute vulnerability. Unless aerial or armored units are rapidly deployed, command and control capacities in the capital are likely degraded.

—NOTE: The location “Mostarska Petlja – Belgrade Fair” refers to a key area in central Belgrade where the Mostarska Petlja interchange connects directly to the Belgrade Fair (Beogradski Sajam)—one of the city’s main exhibition and event venues.
Strategically positioned in the Savski Venac municipality, this corridor links several major urban and transit routes, including access to the Gazela Bridge, highways E‑75 and E‑70, and the southern districts of the city. It is both a logistical hub and a symbolic gateway into the heart of Belgrade’s business and cultural zones.

🇷🇸 - Still no movement from police forces at major blockades despite rumors of it being "imminent". Conflicting chatter among protestors and observers: is the regime hesitating, or preparing a last-minute show of force?

—🇷🇺 /🇷🇸 Lavrov: Russia hopes the West won’t exploit unrest in Serbia.
➡️ Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Moscow is closely monitoring the situation in Serbia and hopes the current unrest will be resolved peacefully, in accordance with the country’s constitution and laws.

➡️ He also issued a warning to Western nations, urging them not to interfere: “We hope that Western countries, which often try to exploit internal developments in other states to advance their own interests at the expense of genuine partners, will refrain this time from launching one of their color revolutions,” Lavrov said.
