—🇷🇺/🇹🇷 NEW: An unidentified UAV assessed by OSINT analysts as a Russian Merlin-VR long-range reconnaissance drone has crashed in an empty field in the Manyas district of Balıkesir in Türkiye’s Marmara region, near the border with Greece.

➡️ The wreckage was recovered largely intact by local residents and handed over to Turkish security forces, who transferred it to Ankara for detailed technical examination, while officials have not yet formally confirmed the drone’s origin or operator.

➡️ The incident comes just days after a Russian-origin Orlan-10 reconnaissance UAV was found crashed in a rural area of İzmit’s Çubuklubala neighbourhood in Kocaeli province, south of Istanbul, as part of a series of recent drone incidents over and inside Turkish airspace linked to the war in Ukraine.
