Podcast of the week 🎧
I was listening to this Hard Fork podcast episode about Grok on X and the way it’s being misused to create sexualized images of people, even children. Hearing the stories of the victims and their families was deeply upsetting. What makes it worse is how insufficient the response from Elon Musk and the platform has been.
They also discussed vibe coding and the new Claude Code experiments and this part was my favorite. It’s funny, easy to listen to, and at the same time a little scary how powerful these new AI tools are becoming.
The last part was about AI scams, where they debunked a viral Reddit post that used AI-generated “evidence” to fool people. Another reminder of how careful we need to be online.
Overall, I really enjoyed this episode especially the Claude Code part. I’d definitely recommend giving it a listen.
I’m planning to continue doing one podcast review per week to stay consistent.
Love you all ❤️

TAMAS ARCHIVED
I have never had a music album that reminds me of a book i once read until now.. This whole album feels like it was recorded on a random Sunny Sunday morning in a wide living room, with friends sitting in a circle.. if you've read አልተዘዋወረችም by አሌክስ አብርሃም…
I just finished reading አልተዘዋወረችም by Alex Abraham, and I really liked it. What fascinated me most is how the writer tells one history from four different perspectives. Through four characters, we see how the same events can be understood in completely different ways. It makes you realize how complex truth really is, and how important it is to listen to every side before judging what actually happened.
The saddest part for me was the ending. Two people, each with their own love stories, end up married to each other without real love just to continue life, have children, and move on. It feels empty and painful. It made me think about how many people live like this in real life, and that honestly scares me.
Love you all 🥰

Failed project
You know I love music, and I’ve always wanted to build my own playlists.
I usually use Spotify, but the ads make me really uncomfortable. So I tried Telegram music bots.
They work, but:
- ads everywhere
- “join 3 random groups to download”
- suddenly I’m in a crypto channel I never asked for
So I thought:
Why not build my own simple Telegram bot?
A bot that downloads music from YouTube, converts it to audio, and lets me organize playlists by category.
I started building it and honestly, it worked perfectly locally.
But when I hosted it on Render, everything broke.
Turns out YouTube has very strict restrictions now. Render’s IP addresses are already flagged and banned by YouTube, so the bot stopped working completely. It wasn’t a code issue it was the platform.
So yeah, the project failed.
But I learned about bots, hosting, and how YouTube treats developers like suspicious criminals.
Sometimes projects don’t fail because you’re wrong they fail because the internet said no.
On to the next idea 😌

Forwarded from Dagmawi Babi
Dagmawi Babi's Meetup is an exclusive event organized by Dagmawi Babi and his team as a thank you to all the incredible individuals, creators, event organizers, companies and communities improving and accelerating the tech and design ecosystem in Ethiopia.
It's a thank you for taking risks, for pioneering new ventures, for taking the blame, for investing so much of yourself into the benefits of everyone else, for spending months building epic things, for spending countless nights preparing events, for imagining a community that can be much better than what it is and working towards your vision.
We're going to spend an incredible full day where we listen to insightful keynotes, explore project showcases, attend a live podcast (Devtopia), hold an in-person Creator Awards (by Codenight) and so much more.
The date is Jan 24, 2026 and the event will take place at ALX Hub. Visit the event site for more info. Thank you again and I can't wait to see you there!

I see people everywhere stressing about their subscribers and followers and constantly trying to go viral. Today, while I was listening to a podcast, it made me think: maybe having a smaller number of subscribers who truly consume your content and align with your niche is actually enough.
When very different types of people start seeing your content, it can come with a lot of consequences. They may give feedback even though they don’t really understand the topic, and over time, that can slowly pull you away from your niche.
What do you guys think?

Not everyone deserves front-row access to your energy.
Some people come as a full negative package doubts, fear, bad vibes, all included.
Kick them out of your life, keep dreaming, keep improving yourself, and don’t let anyone downgrade your confidence.
Protect your peace. Always. 😊
