The federal government has announced that the sale of crude oil to the Dangote refinery in naira will begin on October 1st.
During a meeting with the Implementation Committee on Monday in Abuja, Wale Edun, the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, shared the announcement.
“The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, today led the Implementation Committee meeting on the transition to crude oil sales in naira.
“The meeting reviewed progress on key initiatives, including the upcoming commencement of naira payments for crude oil sales to the Dangote Refinery starting October 1, 2024.”

The agency earlier picked Alhaji Mohammed Kabawa, the Permanent Secretary of the State’s Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs over the alleged multi-billion Naira drug supply scam, then went ahead to arrest others involved in the alleged deal also arrested by the commission is the Chairman of the state branch of ALGON, Abdullahi Bashir, who is also the chairman of Tarauni LGA.

President Bola Tinubu has granted approval for the reappointment of Prof. Abdurrahman Sheshe as the Chief Medical Director of Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital in Kano. This renewal marks his second and final four-year term, which will commence on December 5, 2023.
