🔹CME Group announced the launch of Ethereum futures. Trading will start on February 8.
🔹The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) plans to return to the cryptocurrency arena by launching its own cryptocurrency index, which will be developed in partnership with CoinRoutes.
🔹American cryptocurrency exchange Kraken announced the creation of a specialized team to integrate the Lightning Network solution into Kraken's infrastructure for Bitcoin transfers.
🔹In the last 24 hours, $1.26 billion worth of positions were liquidated, most of those positions were shorts.

🔹The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) plans to file a lawsuit against Ripple. The lawsuit revolves around the question of whether XRP tokens are securities that should have been registered with the SEC.
🔹Open Interest (OI) in Bitcoin futures on the CME exchange reached a new high of $1.47 billion. It's up 42% in a week.
🔹MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor announced an additional acquisition of 29,646 BTC worth about $650 million, which brings MicroStrategy to a total of 70,470 BTC.
