1. Oppose a ban on abortion, and be someone who approves of abortion

The point of the "current thing" meme is not that the events which constitute the "current thing" aren't of real significance. The point is that the "current thing" dominates the public consciousness, allowing the regime to bury it's extremely recent wrongdoings.

No one is claiming that the Russia-Ukraine conflict is manufactured. It's of massive significance. The point is that public is so caught up in the spectacle that they have more or less have forgotten about the tyrannical vaccine campaign and are relatively uninterested in the horrific revelations which have to light since.

Obviously, the Russia-Ukraine conflict isn't a distraction. What is a distraction is the spectacle. That people on the right are arguing about who they "support" in a conflict which they have no influence over rather than considering that there will be major food and energy shortages in the near future.

Hot takes on the "current thing" are the right-wing version of shitlibs supporting the "current thing". Spectacle is a distraction from the real-life decisions you will have to make.

The question we need to be asking ourselves is: Does this include local populations within the West, and even those on American soil? I would argue that it very much does, and that the Military-Industrial Complex has long been at war with the people it is supposed to serve, even if most rank-and-file don't realise it.

As with most of the strife we're facing, our solution must be to simply turn off the media, and to become impervious to the psyops being pushed through it.
