Anas (may Allāh be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet ﷺ said:

Al-Imām Muḥammad bin al-Husayn al-Ājurī said:
قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ:
The 'Ulamā' past and present did not differ on the fact that the Khawārij are an evil people,
لَمْ يَخْتَلِفِ الْعُلَمَاءُ قَدِيمًا وَحَدِيثًا أَنَّ الْخَوَارِجَ قَوْمُ سُوءٍ
Those who are disobedient to Allāh and His Messenger ﷺ,
عُصَاةٌ لِلَّهِ تَعَالَى وَلِرَسُولِهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،
Even if they pray and fast,
وَإِنْ صَلَّوْا وَصَامُوا،
And exert themselves in worship,
وَاجْتَهَدُوا فِي الْعِبَادَةِ،
That does not benefit them,
فَلَيْسَ ذَلِكَ بِنَافِعٍ لَهُمْ،
Yes and even if they make apparent commanding the right and forbidding the wrong,
نَعَمْ , وَيُظْهِرُونَ الْأَمْرَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَالنَّهْيِ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ،
That does not benefit them,
وَلَيْسَ ذَلِكَ بِنَافِعٍ لَهُمْ؛
Because they explain the Qur'ān according to their whims and desires,
لِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ يَتَأَوَّلُونَ الْقُرْآنَ عَلَى مَا يَهْوُونَ،
And they distort it upon the Muslims.
وَيُمَوِّهُونَ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ

Abū 'Abdillaah Aḥmad bin Muḥammad bin 'Abdillaah, the Scribe, reported to us, saying: Abū Muslim 'Abdur-Rahmān bin Muḥammad bin 'Abdillaah bin Mihraan narrated to us, saying: I read to Abū Ja'far Muḥammad bin Aḥmad bin Muḥammad As-Sub'hee: Abū Rajaa Muḥammad bin Hamdawaih bin Mūsā narrated to us: Aḥmad bin Jameel narrated to us, saying: Hafs bin Humaid reported to us that Ibn Al-Mubārak said:
أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْكَاتِبُ، قَالَ: أَنْبَأَ أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ، قَالَ: قَرَأْتُ عَلَى أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ السُّبَحِيِّ، ثنا أَبُو رَجَاءٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَمْدَوَيْهِ بْنِ مُوسَى، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ جَمِيلٍ، قَالَ: أَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ، قَالَ:
“There was a wealthy man, and every time he heard of a scholar he would go to acquire knowledge from him.
" كَانَ رَجُلٌ ذَا مَالٍ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ بِعَالِمٍ إِلَّا أَتَاهُ حَتَّى يَقْتَبِسَ مِنْهُ،
One time he heard that in such and such place there was a scholar,
فَسَمِعَ أَنَّ فِي مَوْضِعِ كَذَا وَكَذَا عَالِمًا،
So he embarked on a ship to go visit him.
فَرَكِبَ السَّفِينَةَ
Aboard the ship was a woman who asked him: 'What are you doing here?'
وَفِيهَا امْرَأَةٌ، فَقَالَتْ: مَا أَمْرُكَ يَا هَذَا؟
He replied: “I am possessed with the love of knowledge,
قَالَ: إِنِّي مَشْغُوفٌ بِحُبِّ الْعِلْمِ،
So when I heard that in such and such a place there is a scholar I set out to visit him.”
فَسَمِعْتُ أَنَّ فِي مَوْضِعِ كَذَا عَالِمًا آتِيهُ،
She said: 'Do you not know that every time you increase in knowledge,
قَالَتْ: يَا هَذَا، كُلَّمَا زِيدَ فِي عِلْمِكَ
Then you must also increase in actions?
تَزِيدُ فِي عَمَلِكَ
Or are you going to increase your knowledge,
أَوْ تَزِيدُ فِي عِلْمِكَ،
While your actions are at a standstill?'
وَالْعَمَلُ مَوْقُوفٌ؟
So the man reflected on this and then turned back (homeward),
فَانْتَبَهَ الرَّجُلُ وَرَجَعَ،
And began to perform actions.”
وَأَخَذَ فِي الْعَمَلِ "

Ibn 'Umar (may Allāh be pleased with him) said: “Verily, I love to place between me and the harām (unlawful) a barrier from the lawful (halāl). I do not puncture it.”

And whosoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it.
وَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَرَهُۥ

And that which emphasizes having fear after repentance is the hadīth found in Ṣaḥīḥ (Al-Bukhārī, 4712).
ويؤيد الخوف بعد التوبة أنه في \"الصحاح\":
The people will go to Ādam ('alayhi salam)
أن الناس يأتون إلى آدم عليه السلام،
And say to him: “Intercede on our behalf.”
فيقولون: اشفع لنا!
He will reply: “My sins.”
فيقول: ذنبي،
Then they will go to Nūh ('alayhi salam),
وإلى نوح عليه السلام،
He will say: “My sins.”
فيقول: ذنبي،
Then they will go to Ibrāhīm,
وإلى إبراهيم.
Then to Mūsā,
وإلى موسى.
Then to 'Īsā (may Allāh raise their ranks and grant them peace).
وإلى عيسى صلوات الله وسلامه عليهم.
So although they will consider their actions sins,
فهؤلاء إذا اعتبرت ذنوبهم؛
Most of them in reality were not sins.
لم يكن أكثرها ذنوبًا حقيقة،
And even if they were sins,
ثم إن كانت،
They repented from them,
فقد تابوا منها،
And apologized.
واعتذروا،
But after that they remained afraid of their sins.
وهم بعد على خوف منها.

Narrated AbuHurayrah: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Anyone who incites a woman against her husband or a slave against his master is not one of us.

He (Mu'adh ibn Jabal, may Allāh be pleased with him) said: “As for me, I sleep and I stand in prayer, and I hope to receive the same reward for my sleeping as I do for my prayer.”
قَوْلُهُ (أَمَّا أَنَا فَأَنَامُ وَأَقُومُ وَأَرْجُو فِي نَوْمَتِي مَا أَرْجُو فِي قَوْمَتِي)
This means: I sleep with the intention of strengthening my body for worship,
مَعْنَاهُ أَنِّي أَنَامُ بِنِيَّةِ الْقُوَّةِ وَإِجْمَاعِ النفس للعبادة
And making my soul energetic for obedience,
وتنشيطها لِلطَّاعَةِ
Thus I hope to receive a reward for that,
فَأَرْجُو فِي ذَلِكَ الْأَجْرَ
Just as I hope to reward a reward for standing in prayer.

السؤال
Is a man using black Kohl considered imitating women?
الاكتحال بالكحل الأسود هل يعد تشبهاً بالنساء؟
Answer:
الجواب
If he wears it to heal and benefit the eye there is no problem with this.
إذا كان للاستشفاء ولاستفادة العين فلا بأس به،
But if he wears it for beautification this could possibly be imitating the women.
وأما أن يفعله للتزين فقد يكون فيه تشبهاً بالنساء.

الاكتحال بالكحل الأسود هل يعد تشبهاً بالنساء؟
Answer:
الجواب
If he wears it to heal and benefit the eye there is no problem with this.
إذا كان للاستشفاء ولاستفادة العين فلا بأس به،
But if he wears it for beautification this could possibly be imitating the women.
وأما أن يفعله للتزين فقد يكون فيه تشبهاً بالنساء.

Ibn 'Abbās reported that the Prophet ﷺ said: “There is none from children of Ādam except that he has sinned or considered sinning; except Yahyā ibn Zakariyā. And none has the right to say that 'I am better than Yūnus bin Matta ('alayhi salam).'”

مَعْصُومٌ مِنَ الذُّنُوبِ أَيْ لَا يَأتِيهَا كَأَنَّهُ حُصِرَ عَنْهَا، وَقِيلَ مَانِعًا نَفْسَهُ مِنَ الشَّهَوَاتِ،
And it has been said this means he did not have desire for women.”
وَقِيلَ لَيْسَتْ لَهُ شَهْوَةٌ فِي النِّسَاءِ.

Thus beware of everything which will bring about shame.
فالحذر الحذر من كل ما يوجب خجلًا،
And this is something rarely seen in those who repent,
وهذا أمر قل أن ينظر فيه تائب أو زاهد؛
Because the person believes the sins has been immersed with sincere repentance.
لأنه يرى أن العفو قد غمر الذنب بالتوبة الصادقة!
And what I have mentioned necessitates continuous caution from shame.
وما ذكرته يوجب دوام الحذر والخجل.

Handalah ibn 'Abdur-Rahmān reported that 'Abdul-Karīm Abū Umaya said:
نا أَسَدٌ قَالَ: نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَارِمٍ , عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ , عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ قَالَ:
“That I bring back a man from having an evil opinion is more loved to me than 'Itikāf for a month.”
«لَأَنْ أَرُدَّ رَجُلًا عَنْ رَأْيٍ سَيِّئٍ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنِ اعْتِكَافِ شَهْرٍ»

Qays reported:
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، عَنْ قَيْسٍ قَالَ:
‘Amr b. Al-‘Âs was once walking with a group of his friends,
كَانَ عَمْرُو بْنُ الْعَاصِ يَسِيرُ مَعَ نَفَرٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ،
He passed by the bloated, rotting carcass of mule.
فَمَرَّ عَلَى بَغْلٍ مَيِّتٍ قَدِ انْتَفَخَ،
He said: “By Allāh! To eat your fill from this carcass is better than eating the flesh of a Muslim (by backbiting him).”
فَقَالَ: «وَاللَّهِ، لَأَنْ يَأْكُلَ أَحَدُكُمْ هَذَا حَتَّى يَمْلَأَ بَطْنَهُ، خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ لَحْمَ مُسْلِمٍ»

Salāma b. Akwa' reported on the authority of his father that a person ate in the presence of Allāh's Messenger ﷺ with his left hand.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنِي إِيَاسُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الأَكْوَعِ، أَنَّ أَبَاهُ، حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ رَجُلاً أَكَلَ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِشِمَالِهِ
So the Prophet ﷺ said: “Eat with your right hand.”
فَقَالَ " كُلْ بِيَمِينِكَ " .
He replied: “I cannot do that.”
قَالَ لاَ أَسْتَطِيعُ
Whereupon he (the Prophet ﷺ) said: “May you not be able to do that.”
قَالَ " لاَ اسْتَطَعْتَ " .
It was vanity that prevented him from doing it.
مَا مَنَعَهُ إِلاَّ الْكِبْرُ .
And (after that) he could not raise it (the right hand) up to his mouth.
قَالَ فَمَا رَفَعَهَا إِلَى فِيهِ .
