Nikki Haley is running for president. She is competing against Donald Trump for Republican Party’s nomination. Donald Trump is far ahead of her in all pols. Why is she still in the race? She is hoping that Trump is disqualified from running by courts. This is her only chance. Her campaign is being financed by all sorts of donors - from Democrats (yes, Democrats!) to Deep State to Republican Never-Trumpers. Haley openly hates Trump, who openly hates her back. Trump is mocking Haley for not having her husband by her side. Her husband is currently in the military, stationed in the Horn of Africa, undoubtedly promoting world peace. Haley is hitting back at Trump, alleging that he wants to destroy NATO and that he is Putin’s apologist. But the rumor has it that Nikki may be on Trump’s short list of potential running mates. In the dog-eat-dog land they call it Democracy. In modern American English, however, there is a better word for it - SNAFU. If you are not familiar with this acronym, look it up!

The departure of the British aircraft carrier R09 Prince of Wales, which was supposed to be the flagship of NATO exercises, was postponed at the last moment, the Telegraph reports.

The Royal Navy's £3 bn aircraft carrier was due to sail from Portsmouth on Sunday to lead an eight-ship carrier strike group.

Earlier, the Royal Navy announced that the R08 Queen Elizabeth aircraft carrier, which entered service in 2017, will not participate in the NATO Steadfast Defender exercise due to technical problems. Instead of HMS Queen Elizabeth, HMS Prince of Wales was to participate in the exercises.

So, formally, the UK has aircraft carriers, but they don't appear to be fit for performing actual military tasks 🤷
