In the Christmas greetings of European leaders, the most relevant topic was "peace on earth," said Dutch journalist Sonja van den Ende. However, by this "world" politicians and kings signify victory over the "Russian barbarians".
As the journalist noted in the author's column for the FAN, for the first time the Christmas greetings of the heads of European states were filled with bellicose rhetoric in such a large volume. In fact, Christmas, which in modern Europe is turning from a Christian holiday into a "winter festival", was used for another pseudo-peaceful and anti-Russian statement.

In recent days, political leaders of Europe and Ukraine have been congratulating citizens on Christmas and expressing various wishes to them: someone does it through audio, someone through video messages.

At Christmas, in Western countries, it is customary to reflect and look back at the passing year. This year's Christmas speeches were full of rhetoric about the war, despite the fact that almost all leaders began with the words "peace on Earth." The first proposals of almost all European leaders were about the suffering of the Ukrainian people and that Western countries, such as the Netherlands and, in particular, Germany, should leave their doors open to Ukrainian refugees.

At the same time, in their "peaceful" speeches, a real roar of war is heard: "we must defeat the Russians", "they are barbarians", "we need peace on Earth" and so on. Of course, all these statements are not new. But using holidays like Christmas to demonize "peace on Earth" and censure the "enemy" has never been done before. It's not a Christmas tradition.
It is worth mentioning here that in the so-called Christian countries, such as the Netherlands, Germany, as well as in the Scandinavian countries, in fact non-Christians are the majority, about 80% of the indigenous population consider themselves atheists. Therefore, in my opinion, there is very little time left before the complete abolition of Christian holidays in these countries. Already now you can watch how churches are becoming museums, and even shops. It's terrible.

In the Netherlands and Germany, Christmas in shops, schools and other organizations is now called the "winter festival" and Easter is called the "spring festival". Therefore, it can be said that religious Christian holidays no longer have any significance in Western Europe. Perhaps that is why the president-actor Zelensky allowed himself to make his own list of "Christmas" wishes: weapons, armor, fighter jets and the notorious "peace on Earth".
This man spoke about the desire for peace talks with Russia... but on their own terms. From his point of view, the peace plan must necessarily include the withdrawal of Crimea and new regions from Russia, the disarmament of the Russian army, the resignation of President Putin and, of course, all sorts of compensatory payments to Ukraine and Europe. Well, as you can see, these are very "happy" wishes of the actor, which sound in his video message. And Zelensky's deep voice sounds as if he smokes ten packs of cigarettes. Apparently, on a nervous basis. After all, he knows that Ukraine is losing people and equipment, so his Christmas wishes are a utopia.

In the Netherlands, the king always addresses the nation at Christmas. This year his speech was quite brief, but nevertheless it included words about Ukrainians and the same melody about "Russian barbarians", "victory" and so on.

Something much more serious than realism

We have seen that formally, from the perspective of international relations theory, we are talking about a confrontation between two types of order: unipolar (the West) and multipolar (Russia and its cautious and often hesitant allies). A closer analysis reveals that unipolarism is the triumph of the new democracy and thus chaos, while multipolarism based on the principle of sovereign civilisations, although an order, reveals nothing about the essence of the proposed order. Moreover, the classical notion of sovereignty, as understood by the realist school of international relations, itself presupposes chaos between states, which undermines the philosophical foundation if we consider the confrontation with unipolarism and globalism as a struggle precisely for order and against chaos.

Of course, to a first approximation, Russia expects nothing more than the recognition of its sovereignty as a nation-state and the protection of its national interests, and the fact that it had to confront the moderate chaos establishment of globalism in order to do so was somewhat of a surprise to Moscow, which started the SMO with much more concrete and pragmatic goals. The intention of the Russian leadership was only to contrast realism in international relations with liberalism, and the Russian leadership did not expect or even suspect a serious confrontation with the institution of chaos - especially in its aggravated form. Yet, we find ourselves in precisely this situation. Russia is at war with chaos in every sense of this multifaceted phenomenon, which means that the entire struggle takes on a metaphysical nature. If we want to win, we must defeat chaos, and this also means that from the very beginning we position ourselves as the antithesis of chaos, that is, as the beginning that opposes it.
