📱 Experts from iFixit channel have taken apart the new AirPods 4 and AirPods Max. According to their findings, the AirPods 4 still has a lot of glue and too dense arrangement of parts inside, while the AirPods Max differ only in the charging port.

🤔 The only difference between the AirPods 4 with and without noise canceling is the more powerful microphone. There are no other internal differences between AirPods 3 and AirPods 4 other than the Type-C port.

🎧 The AirPods Max in the new colors are also identical to the older version, and the only difference is the USB-C port.

📊 AirPods 4's repairability is rated 0 out of 10 on the iFixit scale, while AirPods Max is rated 6 out of 10.

📱 Apple has patented a guest mode for the iPhone

📰 TheMacObserver reports that users will be able to hand over their iPhone to another person by putting it in “guest” mode so they don't have to worry about their sensitive data.

📱 The rumored update to the iPhone SE is getting closer to production

🔜 It will probably be joined by the new iPad Air in early 2025. After the release of the iPhone 16, the rumor mill's attention now turns to the iPhone SE. The model that hasn't been updated since its March 2022 third-gen release is due an upgrade, which is believed to happen early in 2025.

📱 The model is likely to include a lot of changes: it could be based on the iPhone 14's design, the display could finally make the upgrade to OLED instead of LCD, with a 6.1-inch edge-to-edge screen expected. It may also use a newer processor like the A18, in order to run Apple Intelligence.

📲 An update to the 11-inch and 13-inch iPads Air are on the cards, albeit one involving "internal improvements." It's not clear what chips the iPad Air will use, but they say that new accessories will be inbound. This includes a new keyboard that may gain some elements from the updated iPad Pro Magic Keyboard.

📆 Apple reportedly releasing iOS 18.1 with Apple Intelligence features on October 28

📰 According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is planning to release iOS 18.1 to the public on October 28th, which will include some of the first Apple Intelligence features.

👍 Upon installing the update, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16 users will be able to try out the following features:
・Writing Tools
・New Siri UI (though the truly new experience won’t be out until later)
・Notification Summaries
・Memory Creation in Photos
・Clean Up in Photos
・Intelligent Breakthrough with Notifications

📆 Some of the more appealing features are still ahead, and will slowly roll out between now and the spring:

・October: iOS 18.1, with the features listed above
・December: iOS 18.2, with ChatGPT support, Genmoji, and Image Playground
・Early 2025: iOS 18.3 or iOS 18.4 with new Siri rollout

🤞 Hopefully, by the time the new iPhone SE 4 launches, all of the Apple Intelligence features will be fully rolled out.
