⏰ In the next post, Gurman said that Apple is inviting journalists and content creators to a hands-on experience in Los Angeles next Wednesday, and he believes this means the new Macs would need to be announced before then.
⏳ Anyway, it looks like Apple will announce the first Macs with M4 chips in around a week from now at the latest, based on these latest claims. It's still not entirely clear if it will be an online event or if the products will be announced in press releases on the Apple Newsroom website only. There is still time left in October for Apple to invite the media to watch an online event, but it's hardly ever to believe. We'll see!

The first 📱 18.2 beta for developers: what's new about Apple Intelligence
・Image Playground – vital image generation.
・Image Wand – make a sketch and AI will make it more beautiful.
・Genmoji – like Image Playground, but on a smaller emoji-sized scale. People that have iOS 18.1 installed will see Genmoji and can even get information about them, but they can only be created in iOS 18.2. In earlier versions of iOS, they show up as an image.
・Siri ChatGPT – Siri can now hand over requests to ChatGPT, a feature is entirely opt-in.
・Visual Intelligence – on iPhone 16, Visual Intelligence can be used to identify objects and places around you. Like you can get hours and reviews if the camera is looking at a restaurant, get text read aloud, search for items on Google etc.
・Writing Tools – no longer limited to three styles.
・Languages – with iOS 18.2, Apple Intelligence supports English in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and the UK in addition to U.S. English, so if you're in Canada, you no longer have to set your iPhone to U.S. English to use Apple Intelligence.

📰 Apple said it would pay between $50,000 and $1 million to hack into its Private Cloud Compute (PCC) servers, which are used to run Apple Intelligence.
Because PCC extends the industry-leading security and privacy of Apple devices into the cloud, the rewards we offer are comparable to those for iOS. We award maximum amounts for vulnerabilities that compromise user data and inference request data outside the PCC trust boundary.
👨💻 To allow other users to verify PCC, Apple has gone to the unusual step of opening up the source code of some of the PCC components that allow security and privacy checks.
🔧 Apple has also released a toolkit that allows you to test PCC security and simulate an attack right from your Mac for the first time. Virtual Research Environment is available on Macs with an Apple Silicon chip, 16GB of RAM and macOS Sequoia 15.1. It is already available in the latest developer beta.

🔜 Average users can try as early as less than twelve hours:
📝 Writing tools which are available across the iPhone, including in Mail, Notes, Pages and in some third-party apps.
🩹 New clean-up tool in Photos that can remove people and things spoiling your shot, and uses multiple machine learning tools to leave the background pristine, like they were never there.
🇺🇸 At first, Apple Intelligence on iPhone will only work with devices with language and Siri set to U.S. English. But Apple has already released a developer beta which will extend this to other versions of English. Anyway, now features will not work on iPhones for the Chinese region (dual SIM), nor in the EU.
💻 While new OS will be coming, new products are also anticipated this week, maybe starting from today!

Apple built four developer academies in the country in lieu of establishing a local manufacturing facility, though CEO Tim Cook said in April that the company was looking into the feasibility of doing so.
