🔻Once the Russian ambassador Alexandr Sergeyevich Menshikov went to the court of a Turkish sultan.
🔻The Sultan, knew that Menshikov was rather tall, so he ordered a low doorway to be made in his office, so that while entering, the Russian diplomat would have to bow to the Great Sultan, and therefore it would look as if all Rus' bowed to him.
🔻Menshikov, having learned about the treacherous intentions of the Turkish ruler, got a clever solution to this problem - before entering, he turned back and entered the room with his butt forward.
