😜 Кутить
[ koo'tit' ]

Meaning:
to go on a spree, to carouse, to paint the town red

Origin:
is unclear, however, the modern dialect meaning of 'кружить', 'крутить' (circling, twisting (about the wind)) and the all-Russian 'пьянствовать' (to get drunk) are closely related.

▪️Сего́дня я бу́ду кути́ть!
[ si'vodnya ya 'boodoo koo'tit' ]
🇬🇧 Today I'll paint the town red!

Окро́шка
[ akróshka ]

🔻Okroshka is a cold soup of Russian origin, which probably originated in the Volga region.

🔻The classic soup is a mix of mostly raw vegetables (like cucumbers, radishes and spring onions), boiled potatoes, eggs, cooked meat such as beef, veal, sausages or ham and kvass, which is a low-alcoholic (1.5% or less).

🔻Okroshka is usually garnished with sour cream (smetana).

🔻Later versions that first appeared in Soviet times use light or diluted kefir, whey, ayran, or mineral water instead of kvass.

Have you ever tried or even cooked okroshka

Today Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, the president of Russia, has turned 71 years!

Our heartiest congratulations!

🔻Vladimir Vladimirovich speaks 3 languages to varying levels: Russian as a native language, German and English.

🔻As for German, the President can speak German fluently. He used to communicate with German politicians in this language.

🔻Apparently he speaks English so well that he even corrects the translators from time to time.

🔻They also say Vladimir Vladimirovich can speak a bit Tartar. And not only it😉

How many languages can you speak

One of the main events of Perestroika was the first beauty contest in the USSR, “Moscow Beauty 1988”.
🔻For the first time, an award was given not to a leading worker in industry, not to an excellent student, not to an activist, but simply to a beautiful girl.
🔻An ordinary Moscow schoolgirl named Masha was the winner of that contest, who lives in the USA nowadays.
🔻In the last photo there is the winner of "Miss Russia 2023": Margarita Golubeva, a student of two Russian universities. She's a real beauty! Красавица!

PS This post is for Andrew and others who appreciate the beauty of Russian women!
