Approval rating of the ruling coalition has dropped to a minimum of 3%.
One year before the Bundestag elections, the federal ruling coalition "Traffic Light" has historically low approval ratings - a recent survey by the Allensbach Institute showed that only three percent of Germans still want to see a coalition of the SPD, Greens, and Free Democrats at the helm.
◼️Almost a third - 29% of respondents - named a coalition led by the CDU and SPD as their preferred option. 25% stated that they want to see members of only one party in the government (with the majority in favor of a single-party government led by the conservative CDU/CSU). 54% of respondents said that the CDU should at least be part of the future government. Only 29% said the same about the party of the current chancellor, the SPD.
🔳The Christian Democrats have increased their lead in the polls to 35.5%. The AfD follows in second place with 17%, then the SPD (16%). The Greens have 10%, while the Union of Wage Earners and the Left, according to current ratings, are set to exit the Bundestag.
