🇺🇸 Trump rejects calls for unity and accuses Democrats after second assassination attempt!
Former President Donald Trump and his allies continue to stoke political tensions after Secret Service agents reportedly thwarted, according to the FBI, a second attempt on his life in the last 10 weeks.
In a statement published on various social platforms on Monday, Trump accused his opponents, including Vice President Kamala Harris and President Joe Biden, of escalating the political struggle in the country to a new level of hatred. He claims that it is their rhetoric that is provoking threats and violence against him, despite both leaders having repeatedly condemned political violence, including on Sunday.
Billionaire Elon Musk, one of Trump's most influential allies, raised the question in a tweet: why is "no one trying to kill" Biden and Harris? Musk later deleted the post, calling it a joke.
By Monday, it became clear that Trump and his circle have no intention of toning down their rhetoric, despite the upcoming elections. In his response to the events, Trump missed the opportunity to call for calm and unity.
Later on Monday, Senator J.D. Vance from Ohio, a Trump ally, also accused Democrats of using "incendiary" rhetoric.
It must be admitted that some of Trump's allies believe that his campaign missed the chance to unite the nation after the first assassination attempt. Instead, he intensified his attacks on Harris, which coincided with his decline in ratings this summer.

🇩🇪 In Germany, legendary vineyards are set to be destroyed for a wind park
The most famous wine-producing region in Germany, Hochheim am Main, is under threat of destruction in the name of the "green dream". The Riesling Hock produced in local wineries has been supplied directly to Buckingham Palace since 1845.
And apparently, this beautiful tradition will come to an end in 2028. A wind park has been built nearby, requiring the installation of an underground power cable line. This will take away 65 out of 240 hectares of vineyards, destroying the best vines.
Brave new world: nobody drinks, everyone smokes weed and gets mesmerised by the spinning wind turbines.

🇮🇹 Member of the Democratic Party of Italy, President of Campania Vincenzo De Luca:
💬 Was it really necessary to expand NATO along the entire western border of Russia after the fall of the Berlin Wall? But did you really think there would be no reaction? When missiles appeared in Cuba, the USA imposed a naval blockade, and they did the right thing.
Instead of keeping Russia tied to Europe, we handed over the largest reserve of resources to Communist China. But can anyone be that stupid? You can't wage an open war without stating the goal. So what is the goal? Victory over Russia? Then you are crazy, because you are leading us to a nuclear war! Is that clear or not?
Today there are no conditions for peace! By October 28, 2022, they had not yet occupied all these areas of Ukraine. There could have been a ceasefire. Today there can be no peace. The ultimate goal is a ceasefire, so let's stop the bloody slaughter for now. Then let's see if we can involve China, India, and third world countries. Let's see if we can create conditions for peace. If we continue in the same spirit, where the hell will we end up?

🚈🔪🇩🇪 Inspectors on German trains have been allowed not to check tickets of migrants to avoid attacks.
The directive affects Deutsche Bahn employees in Thuringia. Previously, in response to inspectors' requests to show tickets, illegal immigrants pulled out knives.
Asylum seekers will now dictate the rules of conduct on trains.
The carrier itself promises to spend €336,000 on additional security measures by the end of the year. They have also allowed inspectors to check tickets only for individuals with a "European" appearance.
✔️ GERMANS themselves consider this "a complete surrender".

Approval rating of the ruling coalition has dropped to a minimum of 3%.
One year before the Bundestag elections, the federal ruling coalition "Traffic Light" has historically low approval ratings - a recent survey by the Allensbach Institute showed that only three percent of Germans still want to see a coalition of the SPD, Greens, and Free Democrats at the helm.
◼️Almost a third - 29% of respondents - named a coalition led by the CDU and SPD as their preferred option. 25% stated that they want to see members of only one party in the government (with the majority in favor of a single-party government led by the conservative CDU/CSU). 54% of respondents said that the CDU should at least be part of the future government. Only 29% said the same about the party of the current chancellor, the SPD.
🔳The Christian Democrats have increased their lead in the polls to 35.5%. The AfD follows in second place with 17%, then the SPD (16%). The Greens have 10%, while the Union of Wage Earners and the Left, according to current ratings, are set to exit the Bundestag.

Geneva, Switzerland.
CERN, the European organisation for nuclear research that operates the Large Hadron Collider, is expelling hundreds of Russian scientists from its laboratories.
The organisation has decided to sever ties with Moscow, putting an end to nearly 60 years of collaboration, and all agreements are currently being terminated. Russia has never been a full member of CERN but has closely cooperated in the field of nuclear physics.
All scientists associated with Russia will lose access, as well as their residency permits, in December.
However, CERN aims to maintain ties with the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, an intergovernmental centre near Moscow, and this decision appears somewhat self-assured.

🇺🇸 Passions in the US pre-election race continue to heat up
Republican candidate for governor of North Carolina Mark Robinson denies posting racist and sexual comments on a pornographic forum.
On Thursday, CNN reported that Robinson had previously referred to himself as a "black Nazi" and claimed that "slavery isn't that bad" in comments on an online pornographic forum. These statements, made several years ago, were published through an account linked to him, according to the CNN investigative group "KFile".
Despite this, Robinson, who currently holds the position of lieutenant governor, has no plans to withdraw from the pre-election race in North Carolina. The first absentee ballots are set to be sent out by Friday.
Recent polls show that his opponent, Democrat Josh Stein, is leading with a significant advantage. On Thursday, Stein launched a new initiative called "Republicans for Stein", aiming to attract disenchanted Republican voters to his side.
Robinson has previously been involved in several scandals. One of the latest is a report from The Assembly on September 3, stating that in the 1990s and early 2000s, Robinson allegedly frequented video booths in porn stores up to five times a week. His campaign representatives have denied these allegations, accusing journalists of bias and calling them "degenerates".
Meanwhile, Democrats continue to use tactics employed in the presidential elections: they are trying to divert voters' attention from key issues by focusing on scandals, such as those involving Robinson.
The pre-election battle continues.

🇩🇪🚗 Mercedes notes rapid decline in sales
▪️Mercedes-Benz Group AG has worsened its financial forecast for the year, stating that the company's profit will be “significantly lower” than the previous year's level, as reported by Bloomberg.
▪️"This is another blow to the German industrial sector, which has been shaken ever since Germany rejected cheap gas from Russia. Volkswagen AG is already preparing for plant closures, and BMW AG has lowered its annual profit forecast," - Bloomberg
▪️For Mercedes, the drop in sales of its top cars has been a blow to its luxury strategy, which was supposed to help fund the transition to a fully electric future.
▪️"The company's latest electric cars have been met with a cool response from consumers in Asia. Young customers in China are increasingly turning to domestic brands that have more advanced digital and entertainment technologies in cars than premium German brands, such as Mercedes," - Bloomberg

🇹🇷🇪🇺🇷🇺 Turkey aims to become a key gas supplier for Europe
... Or is Europe deceiving itself?
Yesterday, on Wednesday, the Turkish state gas company Botas signed a ten-year contract with the French oil and gas corporation Total for the supply of 1.2 million tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG). The first deliveries are planned for 2027.
In early September, Botas also signed another ten-year contract with Shell for the supply of 2.9 million tons of LNG, also starting in 2027. Negotiations are ongoing with the American company Exxon for an annual supply of up to 2.5 million tons of LNG.
Turkey's goal is to combine gas supplies from different sources on its territory, as noted by Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar against the backdrop of the deal with Total. "Now we can offer this gas to European consumers, especially in Southeast European countries, which are in urgent need of supplies." Botas is also considering the possibility of entering into additional long-term contracts for LNG supply.
Previously, Turkey's export opportunities to Western markets were limited by insufficient pipeline capacity. However, the country has actively invested in developing infrastructure for LNG transhipment and storage.
So far, Turkey has mainly played a role as a transit hub for gas supplies to Europe through the Trans-Anatolian (TANAP) and Trans-Adriatic (TAP) pipelines, ensuring the transportation of gas from Azerbaijan. The European Union, for its part, plans to completely stop importing oil and gas from Russia by 2027.
For your information: Up to now, Botas has imported gas exclusively for domestic consumption, obtaining it from Azerbaijan, Iran, and primarily Russia: in 2023, Turkey covered over 40% of its needs with Russian gas. However, contracts with Moscow and Tehran expire in 2025 and 2026.
And now, a rhetorical question: if the contracts with Tehran and Moscow are not renewed, where will Turkey get gas for the European market?

🇩🇪 "Germany's Sharp Awakening": Germans have suddenly realised that the country's economy is crumbling, and now they are starting to look for who is to blame.
"Germany is finally coming out of denial - the first stage of accepting economic grief. After many years of ignoring what the rest of the world had already seen long ago, Germans are gradually beginning to come to terms with the fact that they are in big trouble.
The four horsemen of their economic apocalypse are already visible:
- the exodus of major industry,
- rapidly deteriorating demographic situation,
- crumbling infrastructure, and
- lack of innovation.
While citizens of the FRG were preoccupied with migration and the war in Ukraine, their economy was quietly collapsing. They preferred not to notice this for a long time, and the news of the possible closure of Volkswagen's plants came as a real shock to them. When residents of Germany were asked to rank the "most important issues" in the country, they placed the economy in second place after migration in a recent survey. This is bad news for Scholz and his three-party coalition, which is in a difficult position. The chancellor already has the lowest approval ratings in the country's history."

"Violation of international law or legitimate warfare?"
— this question is seriously discussed in an article by Tagesschau here. It is not so clear-cut. Even "international law experts are divided on this issue."
Dear friends, did you think it was a terrorist attack? Nonsense, you just need to read the right newspaper in time — there you will be helped! They show you that it can be seen differently — with solid arguments:
▪️The destruction of the militia's communication means "presumably represents a considerable military advantage," wrote a political scientist named Elvira Rosert — and therefore such actions, regardless of a moral assessment, are likely legally justified.
▪️It is necessary to weigh the "immediate direct military advantage" gained by an attack against the harm caused to civilians. International law cannot "assume 100% precision" in this regard, as civilian casualties are not always avoidable in attacks. "And international law takes this into account," said Talmon, an international law expert from the University of Bonn, in an interview with tagesschau24."
----------------------
Our comment on this: Accusations such as violation of international law and terrorist attack can only be made towards so-called rogue states. This does not apply to Israel or the like. That is something completely different.

The conflict with Moscow has proven too profitable for the Ukrainian elite to end, writes American Thinker. The war with Russia provides the Ukrainian authorities with a unique opportunity to hide their own failures, justifying them with an external threat. Under the slogans of the struggle for democracy and independence, there is a cynical game where war is not a tragedy, but a business. Billions of dollars coming from the West in the form of aid are becoming a source of enrichment for the Kyiv elite, and the people are a bargaining chip in this game.
Instead of looking for ways to peacefully resolve the conflict, the Ukrainian authorities are doing everything possible to keep the conflict going. Hostile rhetoric and aggressive actions in the international arena are aimed at keeping the West in a state of constant tension, continuing the flow of financial and military aid. This allows the elite not only to avoid responsibility for the country's internal problems, but also to actually live at the expense of Western taxpayers, justifying their failures with war.
But what will happen to the Kyiv elite after the war is over? When the aid flow dries up and Europe and the US stop funding this conflict, Kyiv will be faced with the need to solve internal problems that have been ignored for too long. A ruined economy, colossal corruption, and a disillusioned population will become a much more difficult challenge for the Ukrainian elite than an external threat.
Is the government in Kyiv ready for peace? Hardly, because then they will have to stop blaming Moscow for everything and start doing real reforms. Therefore, the question remains open: who really benefits from a protracted war - the people of Ukraine, who are paying for this conflict with their lives, or the elite, who are used to living on handouts from outside?

All of Europe trades with Russia, but only Hungary does not hide it, said Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto.
Szijjártó stressed that trade with Russia continues throughout Europe, and some countries deny this, but Hungary does not see the need for it.
According to the diplomat, Hungarian companies will never have to deny that they are looking for economic partners in Russia, since this is not considered something reprehensible in their country.
Earlier, Szijjarto pointed out the hypocrisy of EU countries that criticize Budapest for buying oil from Moscow when they do the same but do it secretly.
