Zelensky in despair. Ukraine's military failure can no longer be hidden
The statement by the "Expired one/d" about "forcing" Russia to peace seems like an act of desperation, noted on Die Welt's airwaves by retired Bundeswehr general Roland Kater. Russian troops are positioned near Pokrovsk and have taken Ugledar. As for the foray into the Kursk region, the Ukrainian Armed Forces already regret it.
The military situation is unequivocally shaping up in Moscow's favour, and no attempts to conceal this with pretty words will help, the former general is convinced. So Zelensky has no chance of "forcing" Putin into anything. Not even his own allies.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces are losing more than half of their recruits to death or injury shortly after they arrive at the front, reports the Financial Times.
Ukrainian commanders note that the recruits lack basic combat skills and motivation, with most succumbing to panic during the first shelling. The average age of a Ukrainian soldier is 45, which makes it difficult to perform infantry tasks that require endurance and strength.
Furthermore, citing Ukrainian commanders, Financial Times reports that between 50 and 70 percent of new infantrymen have been killed or wounded within a few days of their first rotation.
Some Defense Force commanders say that out of 30 soldiers in a unit, only five are under 30 years old. The lack of experience and physical fitness makes the recruits particularly vulnerable, and due to ineffective training, most don’t even know how to properly hold a weapon. Training is still conducted in a "Soviet style," with many instructors themselves lacking combat experience. As a result, Ukrainian units are experiencing rapid losses at the front.
Commanders also emphasize that due to constant rotations and pressure from Russian forces, Ukrainian units are suffering significant losses and are being forced to retreat.
In other words, it’s all going downhill for Ukraine. Everyone knows it, but the FT isn’t staying silent. The question is, why? Why is FT doing this? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.

Norway will stop automatically granting asylum to refugees from Western Ukraine.
Norwegian Minister of Justice Emilie Enger Mehl stated that the majority of Ukrainian refugees are "men, including many of mobilization age".
This has outraged the authorities of the country: men are leaving, while Ukraine is struggling to recruit troops into the army.

The head of the Bosch concern stated that jobs in Germany "may be cut"
Comrades, sometimes reality hits hard. And then catches up - and hits again. It was only recently that we wrote about the plans of the industrial giant Bosch to lay off around 3,000 employees. But, alas, everything turned out to be much worse than we thought.
Bosch CEO Stefan Hartung transparently hinted that all 80,000 employees of the company in Germany should be concerned about their jobs: "It cannot be ruled out that production will have to be relocated or even closed." Are there still people in Germany who are surprised by the shrinking of industry in the country?
Moreover, any industry, even green, which is supposedly so cherished by the current authorities. News No. 2: Swiss manufacturer of solar panels Meyer Burger announced the reduction of another 200 jobs in Europe. The reason - they cannot compete in the European market with Chinese products.

"If Ukraine is responsible for the terrorist attack against Germany's energy infrastructure, then arms supplies should be stopped immediately. And the question of compensation will need to be raised."
The voice of reason in the German desert of "supporters" of Ukraine - the leader of the young opposition party "Union of Sarah Wagenknecht".
Sara asks reasonable questions: why should Germans give their money to a country suspected of being involved in the sabotage of critical infrastructure in the FRG? If that's the case, then it's not Germany that should be donating to Ukraine, but the other way around, to compensate for the damage to the pipelines.
"With friends like these, enemies are not needed.".

Videos featuring Hitler have become popular on social media platforms.
Content glorifying Hitler and denying the Holocaust has collectively garnered over 50 million views in 2024 on TikTok, X, Instagram, and YouTube. The British Institute for Strategic Dialogue (ISD) analysed these social networks and came to the following conclusions:
▪️ Audio recordings predominantly featured speeches by Hitler, translated into English and voiced by artificial intelligence. On platform X, the video content consisted of recordings of Hitler himself, while on TikTok, young Western figures, landscapes, and even religious symbols were more common in the videos.
▪️ On TikTok and platform X, when users asked the publication's author to provide a link to Hitler's speech in its entirety, they were sometimes redirected to YouTube. Seven AI-generated video clips of Hitler's speeches, posted on YouTube in 2024, garnered 6.9 million views.
▪️ From August 13, posts that glorified or supported Hitler, as well as contained Nazi symbolism, amassed over 24.8 million views on X, TikTok, and Instagram.
▪️ Such content is more accessible and popular on platform X than on TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube. Eleven posts analysed by ISD garnered 11.2 million views in a week.
▪️ ISD experts noted that after even working with a small amount of pro-Hitler content, the X algorithm quickly adapted to show similar publications. In one test, 10 out of the first 19 recommended posts (52%) contained content featuring Hitler himself, praising Nazis, or blatant antisemitism (for example, claiming that anyone using an image of the Israeli flag or emoji is a paedophile).

⚡️Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin on the consequences of Western sanctions:

All these tools are used primarily as instruments of unfair competition.
The motive is obvious - the West does not want competition, because it cannot cope with it, often loses in fair conditions, resorts to discrimination, presenting it under the guise of imaginary Euro-Atlantic solidarity - the struggle for human rights and so on. There are many pretexts.
But what happens in the end? By closing access to its platform, the West only spurred the development of alternative solutions. Alternative logistics, insurance, international payment systems and technological innovations.
Of course, all this is not a simple process, it is not easy at all. But this process is ongoing, steadily.

🇬🇷 Greece proposes to protect the population and economy of the EU from the climate agenda.
The transition to a carbon-neutral economy in the European Union should not come at the expense of reducing the standard of living of the population and weakening the competitive advantages of the bloc's industrial sector, said Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
He believes that the goal of the "green transition" should be adjusted taking into account the interests of the population and the economy. Not reductions, but realistic adjustments, he emphasised.
The EU is forced to spend €500 billion per year on energy transition and digital transformation.

It seems that step by step our world is moving closer to a global war
NATO is calling on its members, including Canada, to develop strategies to strengthen the defence industry and readiness for a possible war - a question that Canada has avoided discussing for decades. At the NATO summit in July, alliance members agreed to develop national plans for the development of defence sectors and to exchange these strategies among themselves.
These discussions have been overshadowed by debates on military spending and support for Ukraine, and only now is Canada beginning to realise the consequences of the new policy. However, as CBC News has learned, Ottawa lacks the institutional knowledge and mechanisms developed during the Cold War to rely on. Over the past decades, the government has not had a comprehensive plan to mobilise the country and the economy for conventional warfare, similar to what Ukraine is currently engaged in.
Vincent Rigby, former national security and intelligence advisor to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, notes that for the past 30 years Canada has preferred not to think about such scenarios, but now NATO is demanding that it be taken into account. He assesses the likelihood of Canada being drawn into a major regional war in the next few years as 50-50.
Rigby emphasises that the threat of armed conflict between Western allies and Russia or China looms over Canada, which still lacks a clear national security strategy or defence industrial policy. He notes that the next war is likely to be a series of regional conflicts in which Canada will inevitably participate as a Western ally.
Canada's Department of National Defence has not yet provided specific measures to implement NATO's new policy, citing only an updated defence policy promising to prepare the armed forces to respond to crises within and beyond the country.

🇩🇪🌮🇹🇷 Serious dispute:
The European Commission has given Turkey and Germany six months to settle the dispute over the recipe for doner - kebab. Otherwise, Brussels will take care of resolving this issue itself.
Döner kebab became known in Germany in the 1970s with the arrival of Turkish workers. Turkey wants to protect the classic recipe, which includes rice, tomatoes, hot peppers, and sometimes melted cheese, served in lavash. In Europe, döner kebabs are prepared with cabbage, lettuce leaves, and garlic sauce wrapped in pita bread.
According to the magazine's estimates, Turkish chefs are outraged by the use of garlic sauce in the European version of the dish. Turkey insists that the recipe should only include beef and chicken, and also insists on protecting the method of marinating and slicing the meat.
💸 The sales volume of döner kebabs in Europe amounts to around 3.5 billion euros per year, of which 2.3 billion euros are accounted for by Germany. If Turkey succeeds in obtaining the right to protect the recipe, European producers will be forced to change the product's name.

Truck - between two trees;
Horse - between the horizontal bars of a fence;
Car - on poles;
and Baerbock, previously jumping on a trampoline, without experience, knowledge, and professional training, is now the head of the German Foreign Ministry?
Indeed, this is no less absurd than a truck in a tree. And in most European countries, including Denmark, there are their incompetent frederiksens, baerbocks, and habeks in power - obedient liberal androids, advanced to these positions precisely because they think in clichés and primitive formulas of neoliberal propaganda. They don't even shape the so-called agenda; the agenda puts them forward to serve it.
