In anticipation of the 225th anniversary of the great poet, the theme of the festival refers to his fairy tales and literary heritage. Central art objects will be the symbols of Pushkin's works: “the green oak at Lukomorye”, “the squirrel with the golden nuts”, the troika of horses, and a giant book. These and other elements create a magical atmosphere, and their arrangement across the entire square allows guests to feel at the centre of a fairy tale.
The market's programme includes theatrical performances, quizzes, winter games, and workshops. In the tents, you can learn to weave from birch bark, paint Christmas tree ornaments, and create Christmas decorations. For children and adults, there will be competitions, circus acts, and heroic duels, while on the chessboard, figures from Pushkin's fairy tales will battle.
