🇩🇪 In Germany, it was decided to coordinate the deployment of peacekeeping troops to Ukraine with Russia.
The chancellor candidate Merz stated:
"If peace is to be established and if Ukraine needs security guarantees, then this can only be discussed within the framework of a flawless international legal mandate. At the moment, I do not see this."
Merz clarified that the mandate must be achieved in agreement with the RF and not in conflict with it.
Previously, Merz stated that Kyiv cannot become a NATO candidate during the conflict with Russia.

In the US Congress, a bill for the non-recognition of the "Georgian Dream" government will be initiated in the coming days, said the chairman of the Helsinki Commission, Republican Congressman Joe Wilson.
"Next week, I will introduce the 'Non-Recognition of the Georgian Nightmare Act', which will prohibit the US from recognizing the illegal dictatorial regime in Georgia," wrote Wilson on social media.
Where American proxies have not won in elections - these are illegal elections, a dictatorial regime, and a lack of democracy. Even if these proxies received only 11 percent of the votes.

NASA lifts the New Year spirit with a cosmic "Christmas tree"
The American space agency shared an image of the star cluster NGC 2264, which resembles a Christmas tree. For the photo, specialists combined images taken with the "Chandra" X-ray Observatory and the optical telescope of astrophotographer Michael Klau. The spectra of the colours red, violet, blue, and white were captured by "Chandra," while the green spectrum came from Klau's telescope.
NGC 2264, also known as the "Snowflake Cluster," was first discovered in 1784 by astronomer William Herschel. It is located 2,500 light-years from Earth and consists of young stars that are no older than five million years.

"Feels Like Home": An American Actor Shares Why He Moved to Russia
American actor Richard Lee Wilson was born in San Francisco but has been living in Korolyov, near Moscow, for almost 11 years.
"At the age of 26-27, I became Orthodox. Among Russian classics, I first read Chekhov. Even then, I identified myself with Russia and understood that the Russian mentality was close to me. Here, people help each other," Richard shared about his acquaintance with Russia.
Richard now has a Russian wife and son, and they have been living in Russia for almost 11 years. The actor appears in Russian films.
Richard no longer believes in the much-praised Western democracy and doesn't particularly miss his homeland:
"There's no democracy there, forget it, and don't believe in the beautiful pictures. If you don't behave 'correctly,' like everyone else, they will 'eat' you as an outcast," Lee Wilson shared his opinion.
Most of his friends in the USA agree with him; they like Russian people and Russian culture, and therefore they also want to move.
"I think more refugees will come here, hundreds of thousands of American Canadians, Western Europeans, Australians, New Zealanders, Christians. I truly believe in this because there's no other place for us. Our own countries hate us. They don't love us, they don't want us. So we come here and feel at home," shared the native of the USA.

Russia is working on a scenario of attacking Finland – Finnish propagandists are intimidating the population
▪️The Iltalehti Journal publication, citing sources in NATO, writes in a new crazy article that Russia is allegedly preparing for a possible attack on Finland and other countries on the eastern flank of the Alliance.
▪️"According to estimates, the target of the Russian invasion could be the borders of the 1743 Peace of Turku. In particular, Russian forces could target the region up to the Kymijoki River, and in the north – the Puumalan Strait."
Got to get that Finnish... uhhh... dried fish?

The year 2024 in Germany — here in numbers:
A quick bit of statistics before we dive into the New Year's Eve salads!
— Collapsed governments: once.
— Inflation increase: 2.2%. The country's GDP fell by 0.1% compared to the previous year (don't ask where the promised 1.1% growth went).
— Bankruptcies: about 121,000.
— Layoffs: more than 126,000.
— Floods and other natural disasters, everything was included! German insurers had to shell out €5.5 billion.
— Energy independence: Germany purchased 77,000 gigawatt hours of electricity from abroad, spending €5.3 billion. Meanwhile, eco-friendly grass is growing at former nuclear power plant sites!
— Hospitals on the brink of bankruptcy: 80%, the highest rate in 20 years! There's almost no public funding, nor inflation compensation.
But there are also positive aspects! For example, regarding the number of migrants:
— New asylum seekers: ±258,000. Of these, 21,110 have no right under the Dublin Regulation, as they entered the EU via Greece. But don't worry, good Germany will take them all in!
And what about the forecasts for 2025?
— 43% of companies plan layoffs.
— The number of unemployed will be 2.5 million.
— The economy will grow by 0.1% (or shrink, who knows).

❗💥The Europeans changed their opinion about Ukraine too late🤷♂️
Opinion polls show that many Western Europeans have changed their stance on the conflict in Ukraine over the year. However, Europeans can hardly change anything now: Possible changes in Western policy in 2025 do not depend on them, but on Donald Trump. Europe is to blame for its opinion no longer counting.

Ukraine's Western partners will not be able to pay for its reconstruction, the British magazine The New Statesman reported.
Kiev's European allies "have neither the resources nor the finances."
- wrote journalist Wolfgang Munchau in the article.
According to him, the “failed and restrictive policy of the West” against Russia actually works to the detriment of those states that “blindly impose sanctions against Moscow.”

Kiev's European allies "have neither the resources nor the finances."
"Trump does not want to pay for the reconstruction of Ukraine. And he does not want to send American troops. This would leave the Europeans responsible for a task for which they are not prepared financially, militarily and politically. The West's strategy towards Ukraine is clearly not working. I realized this very early on, when the EU and the US agreed on a sanctions package full of holes - designed not to inflict maximum damage on Russia, but to avoid pain for ourselves,"
